Time to make a bucket list?

On December 21, 2012 - where will you be?

In this day and age of rapid paced media, I find myself faced with a barrage of doomsday scenarios correlating to the year 2012. If it isn't comets crashing into the planet, the earth shifting on its axis, tidal waves, nuclear war, particle accelerators creating black holes, pandemics, planet X and a morbid assortment of mega disasters, its dire predictions from the Mayan calendar, Nostradamus,
Edgar Cayce, the bible, astrologers, and various religious leaders all telling us to prepare for the end. And have you noticed in recent years how many survival shows are being produced? Survivor Man, Man vs Wild, Survivor, and The Colony just to name a few. Are we being prepared for whats to come? Does our government know something we don't know?

In the year 2009, with the clock ticking ever closer to 2012 I am confused. Are we all on death row and blindly hoping all the signs and predictions are wrong?

These days I feel much like a man who has been diagnosed with cancer and been given less than 3 years to live...I don't know whether to start compiling my bucket list and travel and take one last look at our world, start stocking up on survival supplies, build a safe room or just cross my fingers and believe this Earth will be granted some sort of divine global remission.

I started this topic because I don't believe I am alone in feeling confused about our impending future. With that being said, what do you believe? How will you prepare? Will you prepare?

On December 21, 2012 - where will you be?

and those who manipulated the sheeples with the illusion of "COIN" will pay a karmic price.

I have seen the video and I am heavily involved in bringing the banking system down and it is not a question it will fall as the so call Federal Reserve System was designed to have a life of about 55 years and by imploding itself in theory all the intentional deception and Ponzi scheme would result in its benefactors walking away unscathed. Thanks to the internet and the rise in consciousness the "Demon Cratius" plan will not work much longer.

This is an interesting video by Carl Calleman .. I have been reading his perspective on 2012 and he has a much different take on it and it falls into the conversation about the banking system. According to Carl Calleman .. the shift has already begun and will deepen between July 2010 and November 2010.
The end of the world may just be the end of the world "as we know it." It may be the end of our monetary system as we know it.
"The meek shall inherit the Earth" comes to mind.

One of the biggest illusions is to think anyone at the highest level of office will really make a difference. Cops are the same even though one might be considered good and the other bad if they have the same agenda of thinking we can spend ourselve into prosperity. The same world managers that created the false banking system are systematically dismantling it (callapsing it) and the real question that needs to be asked is WHY? Who on this page understands the Federal reserve system which has nothing to do with the Federal Government and how much money if we had a $1,000,000,000 could we loan out to the general public IF we were a member of it?

The only thing you can change is yourself and when collectively enought have the world changes.

It is important to know that while the Mayan calendar indicates great changes and challenges in 2012, people don't all agree on exactly what it means.

It is also important to know that many indigenous people in the Americas and elsewhere have prophecies we are living in the time of big changes and tremendous hardships: the Hopi, the Maya, the Kogi, the Lakota and many others. Also there are prophecies along these lines in Asia, Africa, and elsewhere. 2012 is just the one that has currently caught the attention of Hollywood, the publishing world, and mainstream culture.

I agree people need to develop their critical thinking skills. Snopes is great!

The Kogi are not Mayan, who live in Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Guatamala etc. in Central America. The Kogi are the remnants of the Tairona culture of Colombia in South America.

No, I use "hope" in a different way, Carlo:

"I think over again my small adventures, my fears, These small ones that seemed so big. For all the vital things I had to get and to reach. And yet there is only one great thing, The only thing. To live to see the great day that dawns And the light that fills the world."

To live to see the great day that dawns, and the light that fills the world. To survive the night, both through your own efforts and the help of one's fellows, human and nonhuman, and by the grace of the Creator..to me, that is hope.

To throw the stone and watch the ripple and act in one's own capacity goes without saying. But to imagine the solipsistic view of self-as-universe ala some philosophies is hubris at its worst.

Each of us is a snowflake in a blizzard. We each add to the blizzard. But though the blizzard would be diminished by one less flake certainly, the one less flake would be hardly noticeable to the blizzard.

The frustration Joan mentions, well that was her word. I am not existentially frustrated. I have only the frustration of a bear walking through a thicket when a branch hits me...I hit the branch back, and a moment later have forgotten about the branch entirely.

But the real point here is not to degenerate into more tennis-ball-philosophies (the old back and forth stuff) but to focus on the KOGI and their message.

Carlo and Joan, what do you have to say about the Kogi and their message which is what this group is all about.

Violette, I was reading one of your post on here about dating and loved it. Brilliant = P
As for transending, it will happen eventually anyway so why hurry? I once rationalised the same thing to my self as being a bit like throwing away one cake because you quite like the look of another, when you could have them both. I do understand though, especially in the work you do. When I was much younger I had something like the experience described by people who have flatlined. It was so indescribably blissfull that it took me many years to start wanting my life again, I just wanted the bliss back. It's taken me a long time to realise just how wonderful the small delights of life really are and enjoy them utterly. I still want the bliss back one day but in the mean time there are so many magical moments I haven't experienced, and I want that too.
