There is no time, no place,
no state where God (Love) is absent.
There is nothing to be feared.

Thanks for starting this group. We Love ACIM and would really enjoy discussing it with anyone who is interested. We already Love You. My Brother IS Myself.

9 I who am host to God am worthy of Him. 10 He Who established His dwelling place in me created it as He would have it be. 11 It is not needful that I make it ready for Him, but only that I do not interfere with His plan to restore to me my own awareness of my readiness, which is eternal. 12 I need add nothing to His plan. 13 But to receive it, I must be willing not to substitute my own in place of it.

Of course, that reads "Put all your faith in the love of God within you..."

Put all your faith
in the love of Goe within you;
eternal, changeless and forever unfailing.
This is the answer to whatever
confronts you today.

This song that came to me was inspired by Lesson132 in the "Playbook:"
I loose the world from all I thought it was.
I loose the world from all I thought it was
So it can be what it is.
It can never be more than I allow,
Or, for that matter, less.
When I loose the world from all I thought it was,
Dreams can start coming true.
I had made the limits it had to obey.
Now I know that I can give them up today.
Try it yourself and you'll be on your way--
Loosing the world from all you thought it was.
Try it yourself and you will see
Thiings will start turning out,
You'll have something to shout about,
Your life will start working effortlessly.
Because the world can never be
More than I allow it to be for me.

Hi to all members of the group. I've been a student of "The Course" for many years and I'm very excited to find this group. I am also a long time Reiki practitioner. I look forward to connecting with others who share the same interests.

"Let me remember that my goal is God.

All that is needful is to train our minds to overlook all little senseless aims, and to remember that our goal is God. His memory is hidden in our minds, obscured but by our pointless little goals which offer nothing, and do not exist. Shall we continue to allow God's grace to shine in unawareness, while the toys and trinkets of the world are sought instead? God is our only goal, our only Love. We have no aim but to remember Him."

In remembrance of the Source our attention and identity are mutually shifted. The Holy Instant is the momentary pause wherein all thought of self is replaced with remembrance of God and as God is all ~ we become that All-ness. This "event" has the effect of expunging the memory of a flawed identity that we've miss created (creation apart from our Divinity)... our ego identity. As the idea of our flawed self is diminished in small bits, we are healed. Often this healing is manifest in physical form (re: the healings of Mary Baker Eddy, Joel Goldsmith & Ernest Holmes, to name but a few) and is the advance toward total surrender of the little self...

The shift of identity does begin to occur in this realm, often forgotten in the moment of the experience, by degrees,... otherwise what is the purpose of working toward that goal while here in corporeal form? Countless numbers of people have had the brief Satori that draws them forward, leaving a trail of guideposts and road-maps for our edification as to the process.

The Course is an alive and vital part of day-to-day life and we are enhanced and uplifted by every application of it to our lives. To begin and to arrive are the same in the place where time has ceased to be, but within the illusion of time... we can begin to "fade" from one realm unto another.

At least, this has been my experience ~ the goal is to get beyond having a goal and slip into streaming consciousness ~ and ultimately, loose all consciousness. God is the unconsciousness state of unfolding Being ~ beyond a condition of "self-awareness" and transcending all sense of person or identity... as the Master said, "God is Life". Bit by bit, we take tiny steps into the Kingdom while escaping the material experience.

A short rumination ~ not as an opposing view but, perhaps, as a suggestion of a higher expectation ~

Blessings
Chris

Good try, thank you Steven. I look at it like this - there is the big "R" Reality which is the one beyond this world, and there is the little "r" reality which is our body and right here in front of us. To be here now and to be in Oneness, we have to accept both. It is a paradox - to get to Reality (Spirit/Love (egoless) - permanent/infinite), we have to be here now in reality (our impermanet/finite body/ego).

"Your passage through time and space is not at random. You cannot but be in the right place at the right time." W,65

I am looking forward to hearing other viewpoints, and I am sure there is the perfect verse in ACIM to describe this paradox.
In the meantime, we can be comforted by this: "There is a place in you where there is perfect peace. There is a place in you where nothing is impossible. There is a place in you where the strength of God abides. W,76 &
"Nothing outside yourself can save you; nothing outside yourself can give you peace." w, 118

Carole,

Hard concept to really get, but here goes my understanding from ACIM. Living the idea that one is not a body is not a shift one makes while still being of this world. The Course says there is only one decision a person has to make, and that is to ask to see the real world. The world we see is not the real world. What it seems most of us try to do is 'heal' this world. This world must be looked past, so we can see the real world. We can't heal one spot in this world without healing the entire world. But, believing we are of this world prevents us from healing because this world, as it is, can't be healed. We can look past it and see the real world, but we can't fix this one bit by bit. Which is what we try to do.
