My Totem animal is the Dog for sure, the bravest and most loving of all animals breed doesn't mean much for it truly is just the Dog whom have taught us unconditional love for the minute we met, thanks.  JacckieO

Source: PerthNow Good news about humpback whales off Perth, Australia:

A RARE white-tailed humpback whale has been spotted frolicking off Cable Beach. Martin Pritchard, from Environs Kimberley, was whale watching with Sentosa Charters during the Kimberley Whale Festival when he snapped the whale showing off its unusual white tail flukes.

Department of Environment and Conservation whale expert Doug Coughran said a booming humpback whale population has led to more genetic variety within the species.

“Over time, with a higher population, you do get a few colour variations,” Mr Coughran said.

“I have seen them before but not very often.

"It is because the gene pool is bigger, so you get a bigger variation of colour.”

WA has the biggest humpback population in the world, after recovering from an estimated 200 animals when whaling was banned in 1978.

The whales are currently migrating north toward warmer waters after feeding in Antarctica during the summer.

The Kimberley coastline plays a crucial role in the annual migration of humpback whales, which use the calm waters as a nursery.

What a heartwarming picture, Linda (Slasberg)! Every home should, indeed, be a haven to every animals, after all, we, humans must protect them from every conceivable harm and cruelty.

My dogs have always been my best friend. Total trust, love, devotion, and companionship. Hard to beat that in the human sector.

I love animals -- all animals except for lizards and snakes.....when I am hiking, I enjoy seeing blue jays, squirrels, chipmunks....When I had a cabin in Big Bear past the 6000 ft elevation, I used to see the occasional coyote....My dog is actually my very best friend....

Thanks Jackie, For your comments and for saving the dog. It will be a thrill to see how she will become safe and secure with someone who will never harm her again. She will never have to go hungry, be scared, be hurt, or feel fear to trust. Bless you.
