My friend Lilli Heart is working on the concert too as part of the Council of Light. She is encouraging me to volunteer so Richard do let me know if you well be doing a booth. I doubt I want to attend all day but perhaps just for the second half or something.

Thank-you for your kind words. I was born and raised in Toronto. I was a teacher as well, Special Education - Elem.,Middle and High School for San Francisco Public Schools. Later, I became an administrator and had a career shift into photography. I do still miss the children. It was the most meaningful work I will ever do. I have sooo much respect for teachers. It is criminal how little teachers are paid but then we all know you don't go into teaching for the money. Still....Peace out CP

Hello Wendy. I just viewed your amazing portfolio of photography. You are a social-political historian who uses the lens to capture the spirit of a movement and the passion of grassroots activism. I appreciate photographs such as yours because I work with immigrant students. Sometimes their English is not sufficient to understand a historical concept via text. However just the right, photograph of a time period makes the concept real to them even without words!
You have certainly been blessed to interview and photograph innovators and mind shifters. I am certain your photos are cherished by many. Are you originally from Canada? Teresa

I would love to participate in any way that would be beneficial. I am a documentary photographer and would be happy to lend my services. I live in Mill Valley and have been here for over 20 years. I am interested in filming the event in terms of interviewing people in attendance from speakers, musicians to participants. So exciting to be happening right here in my back yard. Is Carlos participating? Contact me at wendyelkin@cmcast.net. Peace out.

Hi Richard, I don't know if you expect this to be a small event. It will surpass the numbers of 100,000 that were present 2 years ago at the Summer of Love Concert. We have been in discussion with International Peace Givers such as Green Children and Jeremy Gilley of the UK. Their concert is in Paris France 9-21-09. I have contacted at least 30 peace portals via Twitter. We will have peace speeches from various representatives around the USA and the world. Yes there will be music from the 60's but also reflective of new talent for the youth. Our message from the Council Of Light and Hearts and Hands Elders and Prevent Hate and from parent group Padres Unidos California is that we are a global network of peace builders. Our eco-village will highlight solar energy such as SolaRover and various alternative energy vehicles. There will be booths for arts, and green industry products and services. These booths are for artists, crafts people, authors, poets, and green industry service providers. The local community is invited to raise money for their non profits by getting a reduced fee booth for non profits. We are in negotiation to have the event filmed and streamed live around the world. This event will be historical! I am so proud to be a part of the message that Peace and love and compassion are still alive in the bay area. We value PEOPLE above profit. I have many friends up and down the state. I have been teaching students of every age and every grade preschool to University at Cal. State University Northridge. In 29 years that amounts to many families and students. I am one of those "peace nik teachers" that everyone kids about. Ultimately I must make an impression because years later my "kids" still find me. Now via Twitter, Facebook and Google searches we are all a click away. We have contacted various Native American Healers and religious leaders who will attend or send a pre-recorded electronic Video message of peace to be played on MEGA screens during band transitions. It is very likely that USTREAM or Apple will provide the live stream. Also the children who make international peace messages on 9-21 may have some children electronic messages rebroadcast on 10-25-09 to the world. This is a teacher's dream come true. Don't think about the MUDDY , hot hungry teens of 1969. It's 2009 and the food, water, energy, multi-media documentation will be amazing. Let's not forget the music!
Hope you can join us. My husband Benjamin is more involved in the media aspect. I'm just a peace-nik Kindergarten teacher.

You could also sell or hand out re-useable shopping bags designed by Stanley Mouse or Gilbert Johnson or both of them (they get along well) and try and get them to be at your booth signing each bag for people. I would love a shopping bag by either of them. If you bother to print up bags make extra to use at other events. I bet they would be a hot item.

Thanks for the great ideas... let's see if we can get this together... I need to discuss with the other team members first to get the go ahead for being at the event... but it sounds pretty easy and fun...
