Be strong as a Lion
And Flow like the River of Life.
Bathe in the Violet Flame that holds the purity Of the Morning Rain.
Let the Wind Bring you the Breath of Fire,
And sooth your restless spirit
To allow you to sit with God’s Presence in Silence.

So you may be in the Light.
And Hold Steady in the Love that would
Have you forgive yourself and
those who have held you prisoner
from how your soul would have you be.

For we are all held in a place that is limited here on Earth.
Limited by our unending needs and the Egos Demands,
And Yet, God’s Light and Love can Free us from our limitations
So we can Merge with our Souls’ and
Bring the Strength of the Holy Spirit into being.
We can see the Soft light of God’s Constant Love
Always burning as a spark that lives in the very essence of each atom.
Each breath and can bring us our salvation
So we may become whole in who we are.

This is the Sound of the Lions Roar.
This is the Flame of Eternal Love.
This is the Fountain of Life’s Holy Source.
It is the Blessing of Being with God.

So Wrap yourself in the Cloak of God’s Protection.
Find the Healing Shades of Light from Heaven.
And Let it bring you the Blessings of Being.
And Let the Everlasting Promise
that is always remembered in your soul,
Carry you on the back of the Lion.
And let the Rays of the Son Lift you to the Grace of the Redemption that your beloved Brings.
Believe with you heart and soul in the Unspoken Promise that is given with the Gift of His Holy Gaze.
For the Lord would see into the very heart of your soul,
and knows who you truly are.
Strong as a Lion Pure as the Holy Stream
And Alive in the Eternal Grace of God’s Spirit.
It is so, and we give thanks and so it is.

The days are longer

the nights full with dreams

for the play

it never ends

Seven Hundred and Sixty

stars shine

in the hearts

of those who Love

Their eyes are full of Summer

laughter is all I can hear

warmed over time

golden

sweet

ready to share

Spring comes in its own time

with another star

Seven Hundred Sixty One

Spiritual Peace - by Paula Puddephatt (see http://paulapuddephatt.tripod.com/poetry for more of my work...)

I find my place of spiritual peace

Again, just when I feel I never will.

There is a sense of freedom and release.

I can’t know all the answers, but am still

In touch with The Divine, and that is real.

We’re all connected.  Life is precious, and

Life doesn’t end with death.  Sometimes we feel

A presence, and we come to understand

That nobody who’s ever been has gone.

The spirits of those who we’ve loved remain.

They will protect us – help us to go on.

There is almost a beauty in the pain.

Although sometimes I find it hard to trust,

Truth’s constant.  Feel the patterns in the rust.

I have been spending this past year recuperating, and on occasion feeling a bit of self pity. for a brief period I was without telephone, radio, TV, and computer as well as living in a new environment without family--I live alone in a senior complex. However, I have made many new friends, have all those things back that I didn't have, and feel very blessed.  I watched Oprah the other day and was appalled to find that 6,000 women who elected to spend time away from their families fighting in a war designed to alleviate pain and suffering for others in another country while protecting and defending their own contry are now homeless in their own country.  What's wrong with this picture.  I figure that those of us who are unable to do anything on a physical level can at least write to our political leaders or other advocacy groups. If anyone out there has any suggestions please share with us.  In the meantime my own answer is to ask for Divine Intervention. I am a firm believer in the power of the Universal, Spiritual Creator. "Love Is The Answer."

Ahhh...someone else appreciates Marcus Aurelius Antoninus! I am so happy to have found you all and will eventually be sharing. So far, I have simply enjoyed!

Accept the things
To which fate binds you and
Love the people with whom fate
Brings you together
But do so with all your heart.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

When you arise in the morning,
think of what a precious
privilege it is to be alive-
to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

Never esteem anything as of
advantage to you
that will make you break your word
or lose your self-respect.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

Everything that happens
happens as it should,
and if you observe carefully,
you will find this to be so.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

We ought to do good to others
as simply as a horse runs,
or a bee makes honey,
or a vine bears grapes
season after season
without thinking of the grapes
it has borne.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

Never let the future disturb you.
You will meet it, if you have to,
with the same weapons of reason which
today arm you against the present.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

Remember this --
very little is needed
to make a happy life.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

Such as are your habitual thoughts,
such also will be the character
of your mind; for the soul
is dyed by the thoughts.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

The happiness of your life
depends upon the quality of your thoughts:
therefore, guard accordingly,
and take care that you entertain no notions
unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus~

Mesmerized by the Moon & the Sea

Ron Alexander
Soft, silky, salty breeze
Moon almost full
Drew me to the beach
Talcum-like white sand
Barefoot to the waves
Water cooler than warm air
Diamond flashing in black sea
Calf-deep I send blessings
To Mother, Mother Ocean
An Object of my devotion.
