Marisa and Teresa - thank you so much for the great photos & fascinating information about Chimayo! I'm not familiar with this site - but I am putting it on my "must experience" list.

Many Blessings to All!

The sculpture of Jesus can also be found inside Chimayo--it is entirely hand-carved.

I took the picture below inside of the church Teresa introduced--Chimayo. Notice all the crutches and religious relics people have left there over the years.

This is a sacred placecalled Chimayo in New Mexico. People from around the world make a pilgrimage to this secluded chapel. Many have claimed to be healed there and various items such as crutches, leg braces or canes have been left behind as testament. In my own family, my older cousin left behind his leg braces when he was spirtually healed. This was in the 1950's. My older brother was taken for bad asthma attacks. They ceased to trouble him after the visit there. He no longer had asthma attacks as a child nor as an adult. This was nearly 50 years ago. I have often wanted to go back. I am not ill, I just remember a strong spiritual vibration that one feels when walking on sacred ground. So much prayerful energy, hope, faith and mercy there.
