Share 'The disintegration of illusion (a portrait of Dali)'
This painting is deliberately crude in application and is intended to contrast with what I hope appears to be a finely crafted portrait when viewed from a distance. As the viewer approaches, the 'illusion' of the portrait disintegrates into the reality of 1,178 crudely applied daubs of colour on a roughly painted blue-to-red gradient.
