Have you ever "heard" a butterfly laugh?
If you say yes...
you might be daft.
A laughing butterfly, 
I am not.
Although I could be,
if I wanted, you see.
I'm more like a fluttering of a thought
when you attempt to chase, 
can't be caught.



Have you ever "seen" a firefly giggle?
If you say yes...
I'll give you a wiggle.
A giggling firefly, 
I am not.
Although I could be,
if I wanted, you see.
I'm more like a match that can't be bought
a fire when lit that 
can't be fought.



Have you ever "felt" a canary chuckle?
If you say yes...
you could be a monkey's uncle.
A chuckling canary, 
I am not.
Although I could be,
if I wanted, you see.
I'm more like a song sung from the lips of a child un-taught
sweeter sounding than honey
giving all she's got.



Have you ever "felt" a rainbow smile?
If you say yes...
perhaps I'll stay for a while.
A smiling rainbow, 
I am not.
although I could be,
if I wanted, you see.
I'm more like an artist

with a multi-colored bush held taut
painting your life beautiful with just 
a single thought.

He comes to each of us 
in so many unique ways,
hoping we'll hold on to Him 
day by day.

It may be fleeting thoughts 
only in stillness to be caught.
But catch them when they come
His one desire, is to be saught.

The fire of His word, 
can indeed be taught
but once received, 
it's a flame that 
can't be faught.

He can't be seen, 
smelled, or heard,
unless you see His fragrance, 
on one who loves His word.

He can be felt, 
but not by touch,
He's like the air, 
we need so much.

He sings joyful songs 
over all of our lives,
turning ashes to beauty 
and eliminating strife.

He is "in us", 
and we are "in He".
There is no where else 
I for one would rather be.

So take delight 
in all that you see,
but stay focused on what is beyond 
your ablity.
Cause Whether you can sense it 
...or not
His love for us 
is the best that we've got.
