Maya message "Misconceptions "

We are happy to announce that the
2nd clip from the new MAYA film
SHIFT OF THE AGES
is now posted on their web site.

The new clip is called Misconceptions and is a piece is particularly important to the Maya people.
Misconceptions addresses several misunderstandings that have been the source of
great pain for the Maya people for hundreds of years. The Maya are often referred to as
a civilization of the past; yet there are millions of traditional Maya practicing and living today.
As interest builds about the world ending in 2012, the spotlight is on the sacred Mayan calendar,
giving the Maya the opportunity to finally share their side of the story with the world.
Much of what is circulating about 2012 is based off of
western scholar's external examination of a tradition
that is not their own. Many items are taken out of
context and made to fit in an agenda box.

I found this simple message so deeply moving and powerful.

The Shift of the Ages is a Mayan film about our collective transition to the New Sun.

this is not a scripted Hollywood movie; this is real, and there is a heavy history behind
the messages that the Grand Elder of Maya, Wandering Wolf, is sharing with us.
It has taken 5 years and much sacrifice from many good people to help make the
