My dad's side (maternal) was from Cork and carried the names Sweeney and McNamee. We don't know much about them other than they were poor but proud Roman Catholic Irish who relocated here to try to better their lives - as did so many others. Thanks to my grandparents the love of Ireland was passed on to us. I am hoping to take my son on a trip there in June of '12 to celebrate his 25th birthday.
