i am humbled by the creativity here. it's the right place for you, beresford mclean. how is your own writing going? has fish hook river taken flight yet? you mentioned my work -- i see it as drawn figures in the sand, sometimes growing as tall as castles; but fleeting/ethereal. i channel other people's words, their ideas, for a time, learn their lessons,then let another actress take her turn. it teaches both unity and detachment, just another perfect paradox that life gives us. -- lilly

This book was conceived on the morning of, December 21, 2005 after meditation, the word came flooding to the forefront, and I felt compelled to write it. I sat down and started to write, the words came flooding out of me onto the pages without effort.
As usual on Christmas day, I was invited to my brothers house for brunch, normally after brunch, we would visit other family members for the day, however brunch was it for me.
I was so consumed with writing, I returned home and continued to write until the words stopped flowing. When the flow stopped I felt completely empty.
At first I thought that I had written for myself. Shortly after I felt compelled to share it with you.

Not surprised to meet you here. Yes, I am still traveling. Went from New Orleans to Maui for a few days to care for a dear friend. New Orleans was very eye-opening. It is clear the biggest cause of disaster there was (and it continues!) decades of crimes against African Americans and the environment.
