Words of Peace Global and Use of Media

My teacher Prem Rawat has a wonderful grasp of the power of media, especially the technology of the internet, to be used for the most noble cause: Peace. We have access to raw material video that allows any of us globally (in my case US) to host and produce local TV shows called Words of Peace. We've had ours on for over five years and the impact has been what we consider successful, not in "recruiting" which is not our goal, but in simply offering the enjoyment of a beautiful reminder; that peace is within.

Here is another way we use media so if you wish, visit this new website called http://www.wopg.org which useds multimedia such as music, video, spoken word and etc to again, not recruit to our ideas or beliefs, simply to share a message and a feeling we are all able to recognize and appreciate.

Maharaji has done an awesome job over the years of stripping off the cultural trappings from his spiritual traditions leaving simple, core truths that can be easily assimilated by the Western mind. Mystics from all paths will tell you to look within for the truth. It is great how Prem Rawat has used media to focus attention to the inner source of peace and joy. The Dunrite Group and Eversound Music have done a great job supporting Maharaji over the years.

Tapping our inner source of peace and joy (also the spirit of Harmony Channel) and will ultimately become a mainstream trend, I believe. Advertisers will want to be associated with bringing people a moment of peace, whether on television or in a train station or or other public space. In addition to the many adrenaline-pumping storytelling genres that already exist, new media experiences will remind us to take a deep breath and enjoy life... e
