HI Denise,

You brought back memories with the mention of the Hayden. When I performed with my sound / light group back east- (also decades ago) - we toured the Haydn, the Fitch and the Strausbourg planetariums with sound / light shows that did just that: "transported the viewer into an altered state and deepened state of experienced understanding." More recent sound / light shows were presented at Laserium in LA.
As to videos that already exist on the internet and youtube, they demonstrate the interest and research that already exists out there on the healing power of sound and light. Here's an excerpt from the show I did at Laserium http://www.constancedemby.com/view.html
with links to a larger screen version on youtube.com
Plus - Kate McCallum's piece she just posted on AOAND

Since Sound and Light are the original manifesting energies behind this creation, we do our best to emulate this cosmic blueprint!
So - Mr Ed - lets open the gates wide for emulating the cosmic blueprint - and let's get these cosmic sound/light shows out there!

Ed, I did this for a "Physics of Consciousness" symposium, at the Hayden Planetarium in Boston decades ago as well as other such performances. The words, music, Art images, dynamic movement of the dome all transported the viewer into an altered state and deepened state of experienced understanding.
With your expanded version, there is no limit! Would love to be a part of this.

Ed what a fabulous idea. You know every day here on AOAND just gets better and better with all the great talent here. The potential for what we can accomplish is absolutely unlimited. You put this into 500+ digital domes around the world and the gates for change are wide open. So, let's just DO IT! . .

I am holding the field for the fullest potential to unfold in this event now in the best interests of all concerned.

With much love and appreciation, Ed

I agree with Mary Rose that "we need something a little more substantial than a You Tube video... if we are going to create social transformation, which really translates into "lifestyle change" then we need to present this to the world in a way that makes an impact."

Mary's idea of "home parties" could allow people to take this experience home on a DVD or whatever, but the "small screen" experience now acts as a trigger to invoke the more powerful in-theater experience.

I haven't seen any "bad" ideas on this thread. Some may be more ambitious than others, but all ideas relative to healing add their vibration to the whole. Here is a link for healing sound that I enjoy: http://www.blissfulsounds.com
It may not facilitate social transformation but perhaps others on this thread will feel uplifted by simply hearing it...

"author Gregg Braden reveals how he and his wife watched on a sonigram in Asia somewhere, a very large malignant cancer on a woman's bladder disappear while three priests chanted beside her for several minutes."

Beautiful!!! and that IS the power of Music combined with Spirit to create healing miracles....
If someone shows up to produce the kind of video you want to see happen, I'd be glad to be part of it...

blessings...

Constance, this is all well and good, but don't we need something a little more substantial than a You Tube video? If we are going to create social transformation, which really translates into "lifestyle change" then we need to present this to the world in a way that makes an impact.

And, what i'm thinking of are "home parties". One of the ways that this transition movement has come so far is by word of mouth from one person to another -- the best form of advertising there is. And these home parties have become very popular with a vegan or vegetarian pot luck dinner being the key attraction and the after dinner event being a video with a message with a discussion following.

I would like to see a 1-hour video which features musicians like yourself, Carlos Santana, Peter Kater, Alice Cash, Steven Halpern, etc. with the music interspersed with information about what is taking place. For instance, here is an interview with Stephen Halpern that really gets into the nitty-gritty of it in a very nice way as he tells how he got into writing and playing healing music.

To move out of this line of thinking for just a moment, i would also like to bring in another example of the power of sound to heal. In one of his books, and i don't recall which one as there are quite a few of them, author Gregg Braden reveals how he and his wife watched on a sonigram in Asia somewhere, a very large malignant cancer on a woman's bladder disappear while three priests chanted beside her for several minutes.

Having read Candice Wilmore's post in another thread, the idea came to me that doing a video on the "healing power of music" would be an appropriate thing to do in order to enlighten the general public on this.
