Welcome to Architects, Kasia. I deeply resonate with BC, having learning african drumming at the knee of a Nigerian master for two weeks in Whistler some years ago. Can't wait to see and feel what you contribute to this exceptional gathering of hearts and minds...
Hi Kasia... I was up in Gibsons a year or so ago.... what a lovely area... thanks for taking the time to join us here... I hope you add some content to the site and that you find it interesting and worth the time...
The love and peace of higher consciousness flow from just being - and enjoying it all. Anything you do will not be enough unless you feel fulfilled in just being. Usually we are not happy when we find doing whatever it is that we think we have to do. Doing creates expectations that your world and the people around you may or may not fit. The things we do disappear in time. We must learn to appreciate just being alive in the nowness of whatever situation we are in.

The meaning of here and now is beautifully illustrated by a Zen story of a monk who was being chased by two tigers. He came to the edge of a cliff. He looked back - the tigers were almost upon him. Noticing a vine leading over the cliff, he quickly crawled over the edge and began to let himself down the vine. Then as he checked below, he saw two tigers waiting for him at the bottom of the cliff. He looked up and observed that two mice were knawing away at the vine. Just then, he saw a beautiful strawberry within arm's reach. He picked it and enjoyed the best tasting strawberry in his whole life!
