Every creature has it's place and deserves it.
I'll tell you one funny thing now. I've been doing lately some renovation works at home and although wearing the dust mask there still much in the air. So I started to feel that I'm getting flu and cold out of it. Instead of fighting against it I knew that these smallest creatures are helping to get the dust out of me. I felt the gratitude and no negative feelings about them or about the body reactions. I did not even get sick at all.
But of course I love all the nature. We can't go on living blindfolded to what we do and what has been done. I like treating everything with love.

I can not imagine a world without animals, but every time I drive somewhere I see the death along the roads. It breaks my heart that our journy gets in the way of their journey. They...the poor helpless creatures along the roads are the loosers...for now. But in the long run I believe we will be the loosers.
I've seen bobcats, more deer then I care to count, and of all things...baby kittens. Please tell me, how do innocent little kittens end up in the middle of a freeway?? We know the truth...heartless people throw them there.
When I drive I send mental vibrations to the side of the road..."Please innocent friends , stay back!" I have seen many a raccoon and armadillo change direction from my prayer.

That large spread sounds divine especially for a Great Dane to run around on.

My landlord has a chocolate lab and cat. I take care of them when they travel and they both hang out on my deck daily. They always enrich my day. The dog is always in a good mood and reminds of a happy dolphin. He makes friends with almost everyone unless they are delivery people like Fed Ex and then he eats the biscuits they throw and keeps barking. He is too funny. If I sleep in I can hear him sighing and moving around outside my sliding glass door like I am boring him to tears and would I please just hurry up and wake up and give him a treat.

I grew up with dogs and had a hyper Irish Setter as a child that would get loose and run in the hills for miles.

In my current neighborhood we have an owl and some deer that hang out on my street and of course all kinds of other wild birds. The property I rent on backs up to National Park land so we also have bob cats around and other animals.

It would be interesting to find out what pets everyone has and what other animals live around their neighborhood.

Hi Marinspin,

Thanks for the invite. I love creatures, I have always had Dog friends, Cat friends, I even raised 2 Timber wolves when I lived in the sticks 20 miles outside of Albany NY.

My longest experience was with a 220 lb Great Dane named Dax.
He was awesome. he came from a litter of champion sired pups but he had an outy navel so the owners gave him to me for 20 dollars.

I loved him so much that I sent him to live with my parents who had a large spread in the Dominican Republic. I wanted to give him more life time.

He lived to be 8 which for a Dane then was a longer than average life.

I'll post some stories as time allows.

Thanks again,
Ernesto
