Mitch, i do believe that we have gotten off of the topic - this discussion is the Hearts of Fire Project and is about homelessness, and not about the World Peace Posse or BU. If you want to discuss forming those organizations, may i suggest beginning another discussion group for that purpose.

If the Cultural Creatives have been renamed. the notion is pretty much the same - the distinction likely being ten years of learning and growth - what are the possibilities of a cultural creative.

Granted the Injustices against Indigenous Peoples .ongoing - has heightened the "Unrest"". and this ought not be underestimated. (politically speaking)

I can see some marketing merit in - BU as - Be You.

Practically speaking I believe the World Peace Posse has the potential for an organizing force for the Be You movement and particularly so with the infrastructure and team called Architects of a New Dawn.

I think those in this network might imagine the potential of being the organizing force of the Be You movement. Is that not what Architects do??

I think it might even be a good Idea to argue replacing the World Peace Posse Name /Cafe distribution construct - with a "Be You Cafe". I would like to do a little more research on Be You before making the suggestion formal.

Certainly worthy of discussion.

as a matter to note - we have not set up a World Peace Posse Discussion Group - on Architects of a New Dawn at this point in time as certain other discussions are happening that will establish the seed level stronger - or not.

The Cultural Creatives have been replaced by Paul Hawken's "Blessed Unrest" but i am getting ready to write a blog connecting these two movements. If it is ever recognized how large this co-joined movement is, it would be all over. And the mainstream media knows this which is why they do not cover it in the mainstream papers.

This is another project Future Dawning is taking on and we have a Portal and Pathway on the 15 websites entitled: "The Crystal Clearwater Alliance" that will act as a media distribution center for valid current news items. I just have not had time to get to everything that needs doing. And i have put FD on the back burner for awhile as i feel it extremely important that we get the Hearts of Fire Project off the ground first.

I would like very much for those who are "living space challenged" to get involved in this and produce something similar to the Big Issue.

thank goodness as Architects of th New Dawn- we are not driven by the polls!

the Cultural Creatives provide a (marketing, acceptance) venue both inside and outside of the fundamentalist belief structure

Mitch, as far as i am concerned your thoughts are not controversial, however, within the context of more statistics revealing that 55% of the present population of the U.S. considers the United States of America to be a Christian Nation -- ". . . one Nation under God," then it is my feeling that you will be considered "controversial" by a large number of people.

As for "intentionality" it is a very important factor in manifesting our reality. And as long as religious orders intend to keep what we might call "the new order" from the truth, this appears to set up a conundrum that is difficult to resolve. But yet when it is revealed within our own biology, it is very difficult to deny as well.

Hi Mary:

Thanks for the laugh. Bruce Lipton's experience of his own learning reminds me of my own - when I came to see the arguments of Darwinism vs evolution - when they are seen as the two choices - of course there are others - and what I see as the dominant thought is "intention" - humans intended their growth - it was neither genetics nor memetics, on their own - but rather an intentionalizing of possibilities - given what is. It does not matter what we understand - it matters what we intend.

Certainly we can intend social change - that should be easy - once we get the fundamentalists - in all religions to stop trying to tie us back through their religious dogma and their reliance on some written words that are "intended" to divide and establish controls within and for some elite group.

I trust these thoughts are not controversial.

With regard to human consciousness, what we know today is that it is also based in a very precise mathematical construct termed: "quantum physics". In his book: "The Biology of Belief," Dr Bruce Lipton reveals wandering around in a quandry while attempting to teach cellular biology to med students at an Ivy-league university and finding that what he was attempting to teach, based on his own learning experience, was not what he was discovering in his research lab. And what he was discovering in the research lab was not what his peer group was ready to accept as truth.

But, at this time, Dr. Lipton admits he was not conversant with quantum physics, and once that happened his whole world changed and changed for the better. (This by the way is my interpretation of the situation gained from his book "The Biology of Belief - The Science of How Thoughts Control Life," and may differ somewhat from Bruce's actual experience.)

But the point here is that until we begin to look at human consciousness through the lens of quantum physics, we are not fully able to appreciate it. Once looked at in this respect we find it along with all of the other biological attributes of the human body to be quantifiable and measurable even though not visible -- at least to the human eye.

And, this is what is revolutionizing our world as we find that we can no longer live in a "faith-based" reality, but must rapidly move into what is termed "secular spirituality" based in the knowledge that what we now call "God" is the electromagnetic energy field that underlies all of life.

Dr. Lipton is about to release for publication a new book: "Spontaneous Evolution - Our Positive Future and how to get there from here" which is ground-breaking as it takes those with average minds into an understanding as to who we are in this new reality. The book was written with political philosopher Steve Bhaerman, and its release date is September 2009.

This "pivotal" book may prove to be the most important of our time as it aids homo-sapiens in making a "quantum leap" from a present increasingly embedded in fundamentalism, as the priests of old seek to hang on to their ideologies, into a future filled with unlimited potential as the human family moves into self-realization and conscious action.

Dr. Bruce Lipton, and Steve Bhaerman, are truly Architects of a New Dawn. May we embrace their wisdom.

Bob, really liked what you had to say about Whitney's article.

And, Rosh, The Invitation is a favorite of mine and fit well with the mood i was in when we first connected on Skype.

Sense that as a group, we are now moving into the deeper levels of inquiry which frequently lead to finding solutions.

with much love and appreciation to everyone who is taking this journey into consciousness . . .

Perhaps it is a good time to sit in the center of our own 'HEARTS on FIRE' and allow all the anger, rage, disappointment, invisibility, frustration, etc to burn and purge so we can truly get into the deeper, richer heat that comes when the chatter dies down and we have renaissance, when we hear our own clear strong inner voice of passion and know what we are to do to reset the axis of change to reflect the naturally strong and proactive dynamics of Life.

I leave you with THE INVITATION by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. When I first heard it I was in NYC and she was introducing Christopher Reeves. We were a room full of healers and he was to speak about his journey. It would be the first time in his living experience since his accident that he could speak freely for one half hour without any need of his oxygen machine. When he told us this extraordinary fact he said that it was his conviction that he could do that because he was in a room full of individuals that knew the difference between what you see and who you are, between what you hear and what you know. His one half hour without an oxygen machine was a ' miracle' to the ordinary and scientific world but for him it was simple proof of what happens when collective consciousness lives in natural flow.
So, here's the poem. May it bless you as much as it has blessed and challenged me.

The Invitation

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Thank you for pointing us to the article by Mike Whitney. I found the article interesting and informative as far as it went. Many of the things I read about the economy, including this article, are immersed in economic logic. Although informative and interesting, it fails to mention the most important part of our existence - human consciousness.

The economy is nothing more than the sum of human activity. In the consumer culture that we have lived in, this activity has been measured in dollars. In addition to being a very limited perspective from which to measure the value of human contribution, money is also an entirely fictitious construct.

Other terms that Mr. Whitney consistently repeats, and which I have heard most economists use, is "sustainable growth: and "consumer spending," both of which indicate that no fundamental shift in thinking has occurred. Most economists are still mired in the consumption model. To them, the only way out of our "troubles" is to spend more.

Mr. Whitney also quotes extensively from the Federal Reserve Bank concerning what has gone wrong with the economy. This is akin to asking the fox what went wrong in the hen house. The Federal Reserve Bank is at the core of the not only the growing "disparity" between rich and poor, but is also the source of debt creation. In the excerpt quoted, the Fed states that "consumption can not grow faster than income" primarily because income would not be sufficient to "service" the debt. "Service" is a euphemism that the bankers and economists like to use which means pay interest. And that is really why the Fed's Grand Ponzi scheme is collapsing. Money is created by the Fed as debt and then more money must be created (i.e., more debt) to pay the interest on the prior debt. We are broke because the Fed is reaching the limit on the amount of money (i.e., debt) it can create, NOT because we consumers aren't spending enough. As the supply of money has mushroomed its value has plummeted and without the ability to make more (i.e., create more debt), there is not enough money to generate more jobs and thus more consumer spending.

There are no "troubles." What there is is a fundamental shift in consciousness, precipitated by the realization that we are on a planet that can not support our current consumption patterns. Although the earth and the human community is really unlimited potential, we must first realize that this is the case and alter our attitudes, behaviors and desires to align with this potential.
