Hey All,
Anyone that is knowledgeable about permaculture or organic growing or canning or seed saving or anything please post here and elsewhere and one real important thing you can do that can help is give a talk/host a meeting for people. Locally we can use our public library rooms for free and if you plan ahead and reach out a bit before hand to get word out and even talk to the a librarian they can maybe even promote it for you and there will hopefully be people that will show up and be able to take the knowledge you have and use it and spread it around. Just make sure to have a sign in sheet if at all possible and cards or something for people to take with them so everyone can stay in touch.
Let's get some of that rolling ok?
Thanks and Peace,
Steve
I'm still exploring AOAND and I'm amazed at what I see. Thanks for starting the group. I know that biodynamics offer and important key to a happy and sustainable future. Quick story: I did a biodynamic garden in '98 next to a chain link fence which was next to a strip of county-owned land about 10 feet wide bordered by a bike trail along a canal. Right around harvest time I heard a truck driving by and some county workers were spraying an herbicide cocktail over the canal and onto all the weeds next to my garden. Fortunately a 6-foot high, 8-foot deep wall of thistle had grown up along the chain link fence only where the garden was and none of it was hit by the spray. When I ran outside I was hit but that's another story. :-) Immediately where the garden ended the thistle was the normal height of 2-3 feet. Was it nature spirits? That's the only explanation I can think of...
