Hey All,

Anyone that is knowledgeable about permaculture or organic growing or canning or seed saving or anything please post here and elsewhere and one real important thing you can do that can help is give a talk/host a meeting for people. Locally we can use our public library rooms for free and if you plan ahead and reach out a bit before hand to get word out and even talk to the a librarian they can maybe even promote it for you and there will hopefully be people that will show up and be able to take the knowledge you have and use it and spread it around. Just make sure to have a sign in sheet if at all possible and cards or something for people to take with them so everyone can stay in touch.

  • Has anyone here done that?
  • Does anyone here know of a place that needs something like that to happen?

Let's get some of that rolling ok?

Thanks and Peace,

Steve

I'm still exploring AOAND and I'm amazed at what I see. Thanks for starting the group. I know that biodynamics offer and important key to a happy and sustainable future. Quick story: I did a biodynamic garden in '98 next to a chain link fence which was next to a strip of county-owned land about 10 feet wide bordered by a bike trail along a canal. Right around harvest time I heard a truck driving by and some county workers were spraying an herbicide cocktail over the canal and onto all the weeds next to my garden. Fortunately a 6-foot high, 8-foot deep wall of thistle had grown up along the chain link fence only where the garden was and none of it was hit by the spray. When I ran outside I was hit but that's another story. :-) Immediately where the garden ended the thistle was the normal height of 2-3 feet. Was it nature spirits? That's the only explanation I can think of...

Music is looked upon as something serious and holy, designed to purify the feelings of the people. The enthusiasm of the heart expresses itself involuntarily in a burst of song or the rhythmic movement of the body. From immemorial times the inspiring affects that moves all hearts, and draws them together, has mystified mankind.
The ancient kings made music in order to honor merit, and offered it with splendor to the Supreme Deity inviting their ancestors to be present. In the Temple folks drew near to God with music and pantomimes. The Ancestors were invited to these divine rituals as guests of the ruler of heaven and as representatives of humanity in the higher regions. This uniting of the human past with the Divinity in revering his ancestors with solemn moments of spiritual inspiration established the bond between God and man. Our first Earthdance and Theater.

My daughter would like to know if there is anything herbal she can use, rather than the usual medicines to help clear the remaining bit of endiometrisis and to help with becoming pregnant/ support fertility. Thet did surgery for the endio about four, or five yrs ago and she became pregnant with a tubal pregnancy. One tube left, which they say is clear. She doesn't want to take all the artificial medicines they say she needs to build up for this. Any help would be appreciated, if you have knowledge of herbals.

Thanks, Samantha! Will look forward to this. Want to learn everything possible about medicinal plants. I feel it is one of the crucial areas of knowledge.

Greetings, gardener friends. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm an herbalist on the central coast of California, and am interested in community garden project, as well as acquainting more people with the medicinal qualities of plants. In the near future I'll be posting some excerpts from my lectures on herbs. Write me if you have anything special you'd like to find out about. Namaste. Samantha
