It is a very small world! I was in the Philippines once and some guy said he recognized me because he had met me in S. America in Columbia. I said no you did not and he said "I did and you are wearing the same dress you had on when I met you" and he was right.
  • Marinspin

I have seen him walking around the Mall in Corte Madera and driving around San Rafael. My friend's husband knows him.
  • Marinspin

One Nepali man who is a member here knows my ex Nepali BF from many moons ago when I was traveling through Nepal. It is a really small world.

I told Nike today I think you did have relatives who lived near where I grew up.
  • Marinspin

I forget the school nurses name from Miller Creek but Sybil and I use to stay with her when the Guthrie's moved to Tahoe and she was really nice but died recently too. I think her name was Mrs. Sallady and she was friends with Sybil's mom. She rented an apartment in Terra Linda and then bought a cute cottage in San Anselmo.
  • Marinspin

Okay then lend me some cousins because I don't have any living family except one witch sister.
  • Marinspin

You do have a lot of cousins!
  • Marinspin

My dad was an only child so maybe that is why I don't have many cousins.
  • Marinspin

You must have giant family reunions.
  • Marinspin

I hope you aunt does not hate me because I was a good student but not at all very good at foreign languages even though I tried. My French teacher stopped calling on me in class because I was such an embarrassment.
  • Marinspin

Ask your aunt if she remembers Nick Lange or Romney Lange. Nick was my age and in my class and I moved in to their parents house for a while after my mom died. Everyone knew the Lange kids because their dad was the MC on the Dating Game.

    Ciao Phillip.

You're so lucky to live in Santa Fe and know Carlos and Ottmar an other musicians. I think that Santa Fe is near enoght to San Francisco.

I hope I'll been able to come in Usa and visit California again ( i went in 1991 ) and New Mexico too.

Looking some video on you tube i find a beautiful video about Greg Rolie ( first Santana Band) in concert tha last year in Santa Fe.

very beautiful video and sound with his hammond organ.

    Thank you for your friendship.

Peace and love to you and your family,

    Massimo

His wife and I make sure he does not feel like too much of a legend around us : - )
  • Marinspin

I listened to all of your music last night and love the Song of The Wind.

Somewhere in Heaven is nice too. Bill Graham came into a store I use to work in in Sausalito when I was in college and I thought he was a shop lifter until the other sales person told me who he was and then he plopped down $1000 for a shirt for the young woman with him. Back in those days $1000. was a heck of a lot of money. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn perform at the North Sea Jazz festival in Holland. I had not heard of him before. He was the best musician there and I really enjoyed his performance and will always remember it.
  • Marinspin

Last night I played Song of the Wind over and over again and ended up staying up way too late. I think I will play it again now. It is really a beautiful piece of music. Thank you for posting it on your page for the rest of us to listen to.
  • Marinspin

I am dosing myself with the "Cure" now it beats Mepron and Zith any day.
  • Marinspin

If they play it over the loud speakers for the entire world to hear all wars will end.
  • Nike

    Hi Phillip,
Yes, good to talk! (regular way) Do you know someone named "Linda Lalli"??? She used to be his tour manager? And just moved here? A friend-of-a-friend on fb asked me to find her--- I tho't I'd ask you -- thanks! Nike
  • Marinspin

Thank you! I need an endless loop of the "Cure" to listen to.
  • Marinspin

I am listening to it. Thank you!
  • Nike

But... Phillip... I tho't EYE was one of your best friends! (Sorry, my dear, you asked for that one!) just teasing you (not today's comment--- yesterday's)
just teasing, you know..... smile! Nike
p.s., i dunno, i think samba pa ti may be the cure
  • Nike

  • Marinspin

That is so cool! I remember some songs you aunt taught us at Miller Creek. One was about a little boat that could not navigate. My friends parents flew up from Mexico city and my friend made a huge fiesta and made me sing the song about 7 years ago. I no longer remember all the words but I do remember part of it.

Tell your aunt I am so thankful for the Spanish she did teach me because when I was in my early twenties when I thought I was moving to Brazil I traveled through Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and down the Amazon to Rio. My grandfather was Eastern European but he was born in Brazil.
  • Marinspin

If they come visit ask your Aunt whatever happened to Mr. MacIntosh. He taught at Miller Creek too. That actually was a really good school and a nice school district.

Your Aunt had us sing a lot which I liked and it was a good way to learn another language. She was a really good teacher her lessons were lively and she kept her students engaged.
  • Marinspin

I think your aunt enjoyed teaching and put her heart into it. I wish every child in the USA could be in a school district like that one was on those days. The teachers cared about their students. When my mom died when I was 14 and at Terra Linda High Sybil Guthrie who I did not even know took me under her wing because her mom who use to be at Miller Creek told her to and we are still good friends now.
  • Marinspin

That is so weird. I was listening to it earlier today before I left for the dentist in Santa Rosa. Ask Richard where it went to? That is bizarre.
  • Marinspin

Let me know when you find out what happened to your player. I wanted my friend bluz who just became a member to hear Song of the Wind. He is a DJ in San Diego.
  • Marinspin

I am glad it is back... now you don't see it now you do. I can get my Song of the Wind fix before I go off to dreamland.
  • Marinspin

I just got off the phone with Sybil she is Gay Guthrie from Miller Creek's daughter. Sybil said your aunt and uncle are cool and she always liked the Bacas.

Sybil is a poker dealer at night at the Bellagio.
  • Richard Lukens

I love your page... thanks for catching the glitch with the music the other night... I am learning how to work this ning site and thought I was taking it off the main page only and didn't realize it took away everyone's music... I am so thankful you let me know right away... good catch... -rick
  • Marinspin

Sybil grew up in Terra Linda and her mom taught at the same school as your aunt. Sybil might have taken Spanish from your uncle I need to ask her. I know she did not take French so she probably took Spanish at TL. She speaks Spanish fluently. She moved to Mexico City after high school to study opera. I went to visit her there on my way to Brazil.

If you ever go to Las Vegas stop by the Bellagio and say hi to her.
  • Marinspin

Tim Jones one of my friends on my facebook page knows your Aunt and Uncle too from school. I knew Tim since first grade. I know lots of people still from the Dixie School District and they all know your Aunt and Uncle because they were a big part of our education.

People still try to move and buy a house in the Terra Linda/Lucas Valley area because the Dixie School district is one of the best public school districts around.
  • Marinspin

I am going to listen to it now. I am so into music as the "Cure".
  • Marinspin

You should friend bluz. He is a new member and a friend of mine who lives in San Diego. He has been a DJ most of his adult life and loves music.
  • Marinspin

That is definitely part of the "Cure" too. Very lovely and beautiful!!!
  • Marinspin

He is definitely talented enough to make it big.
  • Marinspin

You should send bluz some of Ramon's music to play on the radio. He will play it for sure.
  • massimo

    Durmiendo is very beautiful.

soft with a good sound and feeling. I like . I add it on my page if I can.

  • Nike

    Hi Phillip!
the player keeps stopping and starting--- i don't understand this; everything else is quick! (like, blink~ quick!) so hard to listen to ...??? Nike
  • Marinspin

Thats because he has done time and spent much of his life avoiding doing more. He is old and cranky too and has always been difficult.

What did he have to say?
  • Silja Saareoks-Kaldre

Good friend you can know in the heart, even if not seen face to face. Happy Valentines day for you and for all of your friends and the people you care about.

Lets not leave out the dang caffeine pills and all the forms of speed he ever made and ingested. Not a pretty picture at all.

    Hi Phillip!
Sorry, I didn't get that, last night--- oh, just a quiet sunday, here--- how are you?
    Nike
  • Marinspin

It might be a while until bluz gets back to you he is busy making sure no one steals his couch.
  • Marinspin

He lives in San Diego but is often glued to his couch at night and slow to respond to anyone except to his cat wanting to go out. His cat Tommy is currently being investigated by the FBI for his political leanings. There is more to bluz then one would suspect ; - )
  • Marinspin

I was over here listening to the "Cure" and saw you had 99 comments so of course I just had to be # 100.
  • Marinspin

I was driving on Hwy. 101 today - not exactly but right next to it in Petascloma...
