So funny! Did you catch Anderson Cooper trying to figure out which dog he resembled? A viewer sent a pic of a Shar-Pei (bow and all) but, he thought he should be a dobie or a greyhound. The greyhound was a perfect match. Love your photos. High four!

Thanks for your message, really appreciate it. It's the same lesson that I continue to learn and re-learn. Sometimes I simply feel embarrassed every time I realize this. But then again, I treat myself as work in progress...One reason that keeps me drawn in this site is the positive vibes that I get from people like you. I wish you and your family all the best. I'm glad to be friends with you; your notes also inspire me.
Thank you for the comment on Spike (my dog). He is a yellow Lab and I highly recommend this breed, especially around children. Spike has a following in my neighborhood; all the kids. They stop on their way home from school to ask if Spike can come out and play. Spike can make grown men act silly, grumpy people smile on Monday morning and kids behave. LOL I am working on marketing this ability..
Sharon
Thank you so much for the kind words Dr.....The site is amazing.ofcourse it will make unite the beautyfull world...and Thanks for liking Easterns.I use the Folk Instruments often..that's call Dotara..It has only 4 strings..This tipical NorthEastern Indian folk Instrument played as a body meldy with the overall song.Actualy i use to play Piano and synthesizers for composing a song.Basically i love to sing...Here is a Remix link i sent to you.

If you like the song please vote for me and my mix. This is a Grammy winning song By JOHN LEGEND.and the contest organised by John,Colombia Music in collaboration with Indaba Music and sponsored by Sony Entertainment which is going to be held in New York soon..In this Mix i used the Indian instruments like Sitar,Tabla,Sehnai,Sarod,Flute etc.So kindly give me your creative feedbacks and suggestions..Thank Dr.Mike
DrMike, I am not really proud of this region I was born in and now live in. I consider the "tea baggers" to mostly be racists, as most of our taxes have been reduced. I think many Southern religious and political lleaders teach hate in the name of love. Next to being a yankee or a black, a liberal like me is the third worst classification according to my misled fellow Southerners.
I consider myself a Jimmy Carter/MLK Jr. type of Southerner, and I am proud of them. By the way, I voted for Obama, as far and away, he is the smartest and wisest of all the politicians I have ever observed. Yet, according to most family members and colleagues and neighbors down here, he is the worst thing ever to happen to the U.S.A. - they can't get past their limbic brain (snake or alligator) instinctual fear. And yet I have to love them (they consider liberals like me their enemy - I see them as just being fearful), and pray for their awakening. I would enjoy a racial dialogue, if you are interested. I am mentioned in a book called Beyond Fear by Aeeshah Ababio-Clottey and her husband Kokomon Clottey. I have seen Kokomon's name on this website and I am going to copy this and see if I can get him and Aeeshah interested in dialoguiing about their "Twelve Spiritual Keys to Racial Healing" which is the subtitle to their wonderful book. in gratitude, Ron
Life is a balancing act. Too much or not enough = loss of balance. Mindfully we go forth, testing our limits... finding our center... patiently and persistently... loving the moment. Metta, Jeanne
Yes, Dr. Mike, I will copy your insightful reply and pass it on to Kokomon Clottey whose page you can find by the site search. I could not find his co-author and wife (?) Aeeshah name here, and she was the one who led the Racial Healing Group, while Kokomon leads a great Mindful Drumming Group.
I hope their paths are still merged? No Mistake, Ron
Dear Dr.Mike, I really enjoyed your light-hearted but wise note to your "sportfishing captain republican friend." However, I hope that pure equality comes forth in our lifetime or in the next one at least.!
I have not heard back from Kokomon, but will let you know when I do!
and I am borrowing your Stevie Wonder quote: "Learning to love oneself, is the greatest love of all." Thanks!
an ocean of blessings, Ron
If you head over to hyperlocavore.com you can search in the PEAS (members section). I don't know if the folks you know are signed up yet, but I sure hope so. :D
I really do think hyperlocavore.com and faith communities are like peanut butter and jelly, yard sharing is something we can all get behind.
Hi Dr Mike - thank your for adding me as a friend. I have enjoyed reading your responses to my posts, and am lookinf forward to any future correspondance....
Yeah thats Pharoah, He is the man. Carlos has been borrowing from Pharoah and Alice coltrane for 35 years. I love Astral travelling on his Thembi album. Lonnie Liston Smith did it too and I know Carlos borrowed heavily from it. Angels all around us came from Pharoah as well. Haven't made it to Vegas yet but I might be jonesing around August.
A friend of mine who used to work for Carlos Santana and moved here to Santa Fe sent me an e-mail one day and tacked the Message from the Hopi Elders on the end of the e-mail and I felt like I had to share it with the world. I put it here on AOND and it has been very popular. I had to upload Astral travelling to my page after mentioning it earlier.
Thanks for the b-day wishes. I ended up having a fun b-day dinner last night and I am glad you appreciate sarcasm because it is a part of my make up for sure.. sometimes I do find joy in sarcasm - hey whatever works : - )

My new photo is more age appropriate, eh! I may post the whole photo as I have my arm around my friend the brilliant artist Cao Yong, whose art "Freedom" is behind me. He has a great book about escaping China. ron
Dr. Mike,
Yes, unfortunately we live in a world that lacks compassion and love. MJ started in the same exact city I was raised in. Throughout the years I enjoyed his music, videos, and his performances. His compassion and humanitarian contributions were endless. Remember that his start was in the late60's and early 70's . These were racially very turbulent times. He overcame all the obstacles and in my eyes will always be the King of Pop. He will certainly be missed, but I am grateful for all the memories we have left in his music. He will forever live in my heart! God Bless and thank you for writing...
Hello Mike,
Thank you for the comment and the suggested video, i take a look for many times and yes the climate change is not a hoax. Truly, i just only want to gather wonderful thoughts from this site as I really wonder why other people do not want to participate in making our planet clean and green.
My discussion was just a reaction of Rep. Paul Broun from Georgia, mentioning about the hoax of climate change for the Climate change bill in US ( June 27, 2009) where the fact was truly seen on videos and the news over Asia for the Tsunami in 2004 due to rising temperature in the Arctic tundra.
Thanks so much for the add, and for your kind comments / video comments. I can't thank you enough. You've compared me with some of my most cherished musicians, which is the ultimate compliment. I cannot thank you enough.
AOAND is an amazing community of people, and I can't wait to get more involved. Thank you so much for helping me feel welcome.

As for the UFO story, there isn't much to it.
I had gone with Christopher O’Brien & Tim Edwards to an interview of a BigFoot sighting & Tim had this photo of that he called the Cube. I asked him if I could do an interview. There wasn’t much to it. The photo was taken by a girl friend of a Salida, Co. couple’s son, during spring break from college, in 1999. None of the 4 passengers saw a thing except the old mining ghost town, until the photo was developed & revealed this Cube shaped object seemingly ascending from the ground. None of the other photos appeared to be double exposed, so it’s considered to be an apparition of some kind.
Of All the UFO research Christopher, Tim & I have done, we've Never seen anything like this, before or since. Google Christopher & Tim for back ground in their Amazing UFO journeys. I on the other hand am not published, just an amateur enthusiast, who‘s friendship with Christopher allowed me to assist him by taking notes during some local Co. interviews.

Hi Mike;
Ah, the Riverwalk is splendid Indeed. The Alamo ?????
I went as a child, before the city over took it & it was pretty KOOL then
Ripley's Believe It Or Not, is now just across the street, I found that to be fun/interesting.
Filming/photography, I do it as hobby for friends & charities. The fun part is editing & publishing into DVDs. I just added to my page, some wedding photos of my best friend’s daughter’s wedding last October.
Am.
Hello Dr. Mike,
I applaud your courage and welcome you to the Crone to the Bone group. Only a young man, secure in himself, would venture into that group... LOL.
Love your pics of San Antonio... a very romantic city with its colorful Spanish flavor. I even thought the zoo was romantic - wrought iron and stone... in spite of the animal smells.
I like your new profile pic... you look happier and more relaxed.
