Dear Colleen,
I have been researching that "highly sensitive person" that you just referred to all my life. That small 1% of humans. More recently, the 1% of people who have been evaluated via the Jungian Personality profile, know as the Meyers-Briggs test, as INFJ: Introverted, Highly Intuitive, Feelers, with discerning Judgement. Those who psychically know that they know that they know, yet are unable to prove it.
In some cultures, they are revered and respected as finely tuned beings, caring and protecting the community. In most cultures, they are hard-pressed to find their place, to say the least.
I am always interested in further research or information others have regarding this, so please feel free to share your thoughts or expertise on this.
