Dear Jeremiah: In 1972 I went what we call pioneering in our Faith to Costa Rica. I was there for nearly four months and I loved it dearly.I met so many dear, dear people whom I learned to love, and of course it's been a good many years since I've been there, so I'm sure it's changed somewhat, but I hope not too much. I was in Limon, but I also had some friends in San Jose. I had another dear friend in Guanacaste, but he passed away some years ago. I guess you may know that one of the members of Seals & Crofts and his family lives in--I believe it's called Escasu? You are so lucky to live there. I remember it being so peaceful and serene. One time the man who lived next door to where I was staying (The Baha'i Center) asked me if it was true that the people in the US all had 3 or 4 TV's, and two cars, etc. I told him, yes, but they work very hard, everyone in the family has to work if that's what they want. I told him that if he was thinking of moving there--I wouldn't. Here you have such peace & love. You may not have a lot of things--but, what's more important? He was taking care of the house he lived in for an American who lived in Pasadena, CA. I have a son who lives there. I don't know what happened to the man, because I had to go back to the states. I hope that he's still in Limon living a loving, peaceful life. I also hope that you are living a loving and peaceful life as well. You look like a happy man. God Bless you, Your new friend, I hope, Dawn May Adams
Dear Jeremiah: So you are fairly new there. I hope you won't mind telling me alittle bit about how things are progressing there. I always hoped that it wouldn't get too Americanized. The country and the people were so tranquil and peaceful. Thanks for letting me be your friend, Love, Dawn
