The day goes by many names: All-Couples Day, Feast of Epona, Gathering Day, Midsummer, Litha, Vestalia. The June full moon was considered the best time to harvest honey from the hives, and newlyweds were fed honey during the wedding feast to encourage love and fertility. The tradition lives on in our modern post-nuptial getaway, the honeymoon.

I picked another remedy off the shelf for insomnia, and discovered ignatia amara listed there as well. In fact, when I did an online search of the remedy, it seemed to describe my very nature to a "T": "Women of sensitive nature, mild disposition, quick to perceive, rapid in execution.
A decade ago, I was in closure with a companion who helped to radically shapeshift my life. One morning, just after midnight, we were driving in his van when he glanced at the car clock and said, almost absent-mindedly, "Good morning, Amara, I love you!" This had been a catchphrase for us, arising from his teaching that it's preferable to awaken to a hug, a "good morning" and an "I love you" than to one's typical daily dramas or complaints.

This time, however, instead of echoing the sentiment or smiling my love back, I responded, "What does that mean?" READ THE REST!
A Passover Question: Are You Fleeing — or Returning?tag:architectsofanewdawn.ning.com,2010-03-29:2227378:BlogPost:1643532010-03-29T22:47:28.000ZAmara Rosehttps://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/profile/AmaraRose

A lengthy channeling from the Ashtar Command, excerpted below, reminds us that what is happening in the Heavens, on Earth and in our own beings is all cosmic mirroring. Each of us is a Sun, carrying the Light of the Great Central Sun within us, and "being the bridge of this Light between you and the Earth, just as your solar sun is the bridge between the Central Sun and your solar sun."

The Olympics are all about prowess and prizes. And while it's exhilarating to watch athletes who have trained for years achieve their dream, there's a deeper dimension to what "gold" represents.

I've suggested before that we're "morphing out of materialism". In Beyond Prophecies and Predictions: Everyone's Guide to the Coming Changes, visionary author Moira Timms describes our emerging "true wealth" consciousness this way: "The mind analyzes — the heart synthesizes. The turning point is where the heart is awakening. America's motto, inscribed on the banner in the beak of the eagle of the Great Seal [of the United States], reminds us that America was founded on the principle of 'E Pluribus Unum' — 'Out of the Many, One.'"

Further, the inscription beneath the Great Pyramid (the centerpiece of the Great Seal, on the back of a one dollar bill) says, "Novus Ordo Seclorum" — which translates, appropriately, as "A New Order of the Ages.” So, the answer is in money — but it's not about who can become the richest at others' expense. READ THE REST!Valentine's Day / Year of the Tiger: It's Time for Powerful Love!tag:architectsofanewdawn.ning.com,2010-02-11:2227378:BlogPost:1544692010-02-11T18:37:34.000ZAmara Rosehttps://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/profile/AmaraRose

Surrender is also one of the more misunderstood stages of the spiritual journey. It doesn't mean to give up or give in, but to open to something beyond; to acknowledge, honor, and allow the energy that moves through us free reign. It's about letting go of what you know, how it "ought" to be, what you think you should do now. Instead of relinquishing your freedom, I envision surrender as more of a "Yield Right of Way" sign. The one you're yielding to is your own higher Self. READ THE REST!Soulquake: The Deeper Meaning of the Haiti Disastertag:architectsofanewdawn.ning.com,2010-01-14:2227378:BlogPost:1503882010-01-14T19:07:57.000ZAmara Rosehttps://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/profile/AmaraRose

From a meta-perspective, these cataclysms might be seen as fierce messages from the Mother that we humans are merely playing at being powerful when we play with firepower — and it's time to reimagine our rage, at the elemental level. As with 9-1-1 in the U.S.A., what is happening affects everyone. The Haitian soulquake is the latest call to open ourselves to love, compassion, harmony and healing as never before — and to detach from our drama/trauma. We always do this in an emergency. Can we emerge and see the grander picture? READ THE RESTBecoming REALtag:architectsofanewdawn.ning.com,2010-01-10:2227378:BlogPost:1494722010-01-10T04:24:52.000ZAmara Rosehttps://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/profile/AmaraRose

Holding the both/and has become paradoxically more challenging and much easier than in the past. We've had more than a taste of primordial chaos and pain; some of us are still slogging through the morass. The flip side is primordial joy: what sociologist Emile Durkheim called Collective Effervescence (the idea that ritually induced ecstasy cements social bonds) and anthropologist Victor Turner termed Communitas: the spontaneous love and solidarity that can arise within a community of equals. READ THE REST!The Heart of the Mattertag:architectsofanewdawn.ning.com,2010-01-05:2227378:BlogPost:1483912010-01-05T05:13:06.000ZAmara Rosehttps://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/profile/AmaraRose

Gillian Macbeth-Louthan of The Quantum Awakening writes, "This is the most important New Year's Eve we have been gifted in a long time. It asks us to 'flash forward' into the next two years to see what we can see. Emerson said: "Rings and jewels are not gifts but apologies for gifts. The only true gift is a portion of thyself." How do we put the "I" back in "stores", supplant material-eyes with empath-eyes? We generally groom our superstars as youth: usually a new name enters our consciousness when the performer is between 18-22, sometimes much younger. I love Leona Lewis, for example, who is divinely talented — and became a household name at 22, less than half Boyle's age.

The idea that someone could emerge as an overnight sensation in midlife fires the imagination: what might we still be able to achieve, create, become, if a star is born at 48? READ THE REST!December newsletter: From Resistance to Resiliencetag:architectsofanewdawn.ning.com,2009-12-03:2227378:BlogPost:1437622009-12-03T23:38:37.000ZAmara Rosehttps://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/profile/AmaraRose
Years ago a popular television commercial featured a maternal manicurist who would soften her customers' hands in Palmolive dishwashing liquid. The theme was both arresting and funny. The patron, upon learning the contents of the cuticle-softening dish, would jerk her hand away and gasp: "Dishwashing liquid?" Madge would calmly pat her hand back down, reassuring, "It's Palmolive!"
Carl Jung described synchronicity as "meaningful coincidence." One teammate defines it as, "Your file is open and on God's desk." It's about transforming the "efforting" in our lives into ease. Synchronicity happens when we're living in flow rather than in force. And its literal manifestation can be quite humorous. Once, when I was deeply into my own spiritual awakening, I had been imploring the universe, "I want to serve, show me how to serve!" Soon afterward, I received a summons for jury duty.

As we learn how to listen to the "still, small voice" inside us, wondrous events begin to transpire in our lives. One of my best manifestation stories involves finding a secluded mountain cabin to rent when I lived in New Mexico, by following a tapestry of meaningful messages leading me, literally, to the door. The string of synchronicities was so strong that, had I written the story as fiction, I imagine an editor would have rejected it as "too coincidental for readers to believe." But real life is always more amazing — and amusing — than anything we can invent. READ THE REST!Gratitude Guide: Six Simple Ways to Give Thankstag:architectsofanewdawn.ning.com,2009-11-21:2227378:BlogPost:1417372009-11-21T23:09:06.000ZAmara Rosehttps://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/profile/AmaraRose
