Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

I was raised on a farm by my paternal grandparents... they used everything, wasted nothing.
But now - after a few decades of disposable conveniences, it seems humans need
to be re-trained to think holistically...
to remember what our ancestors did,
to develop relationships with our food and other consumables and
to restore balance to the natural environment and our relationship with it.

I am grateful for green thumbs, the organic community, seed savers, and internet networking... a combination I expect to bring me wonderful information and inspiration.

One day while meditating, I realized I was throwing away the essence of future plant life every time I threw away seeds... so, I set a flat pan on top of the refrigerator and now throw seeds into it from the various fruits and veggies cut up during the day. After they dry, I put them in a wax paper bag with an identification label. I haven't thought too far ahead, but intend to grow the concept.

Perhaps you could use the seeds to teach children to garden? Having the seeds come from the kitchen is a beautiful lesson. Best Wishes, Erin
