Hi Pierre. I used to be an Electrical Contrractor but retired from the game and am now enjoying all the things that I did'nt have time to do while running my business, like saltwater flyfishing, photography, gardening and the list goes on. :)
Oh and I forgot to mention that i started a breeding project at home. Sungazers, beautiful lizards which if we are not careful will end up on the endangered list.
Hi Pierre,
Sadly the Snake Park in Durban had to go because of bad management. Its now demolished and used as a car park. The reptiles that were there are now at the UShaka Marine World. Funny enough, you dont need a permit in Kwa Zulu Natal to keep Sungazers, but if you do get babies, you need to contact NCS to register the babies and, if you are sending or releasing them in another Province, then you need a permit. I love the law on the banning of four wheel drives on our beaches, man, its got me into so many arguments though.
I'm a fan of many, many Artists- whatever their 'Art" form may be -
(if they are pursuing their passions, that must mean that they have taken the efforts and the time to figure out what they are first) and they are acting on them - that is A Lot right there... :)
Now- if they also are living catalysts for Change- for the betterment and the highest good of All- now they REALLY have my respect! :)
So, Yep - I think Santana exemplifies those attributes!
Have a Spectacular Day!
Hi Pierre ... you're free to brag as much as it takes to make you feel good, but I don't follow the cricket, so it will not start a great blog fest. But feel free ... nothing like a good old brag. Enjoy your bragging session .. maybe someone else may pick up on the cricket theme for you? Cheers & thanks for the comment. Donna
Thanks for your kind note. I am originally from Illinois and I prefer Northern NM over Southern NM because the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area has greener vegetation than Las Cruces.
Pierre,
Oh dear! If you don't like the snows/winters, NM would most likely not be for you--- we are in the mountains, about 7,000' elev., so we often have quite dramatic snows! Some winters are rather mild, but when it's not, it's NOT! (smile) I came from FL and then MD, both have incredible humidity (Maryland lacks the palm trees, however, which helps balance that) --- so NM is lovely and dry.... actually, I think the weather has become so bizarre, at least in the states, it's much more in flux.... everywhere! (no doubt, we have helped this along, er, I should say, people are (pretty much? very?) responsible for this--- so we can't complain too much!
Do you mean you have never seen snow? Nike

Las Cruces is near El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico. The Rio Grande does in fact come through Cruces, but the elevation is lower than in Northern NM.
I am also compete in mountain biking and the Gila Forest is a favorite biking destination of mine.
