Bonnie, Today' upload works for me but it could be that as I use Safari and a Mac that maybe if you do not have Quicktime or a vewer that plays MP4 vidoes you may have a compatibility issue..make sure your browser has a MP4 Mpeg 4 capable player extending your browser--its not worth wasting top much time on but you may try updating your Quciktime player as that is what I generated it with. Thanks for trying...Bruce

Hi Bonnie, I love your parrot, I have a golden mantled rosella from Aussie and I find him great company. The photo is a healing grove in Hawaii on the Big Island. It has been used 'forever' as a healing grove. The wounded warriors and sick people of the tribes would gather here and recieve heahing. A very powerful and magical place. Aloha from Carrie

    Wonderful and colorful photos Bonnie.
Especially the one with the little boy with his beautiful big brown eyes.
And how lucky you must feel to visit these magnificent places :-)

    Love and warm regards,
    Claudia.

I don't, but my little black & white soulmate does! He would prefer to lick my
my face, well anybody's face for that matter. A true manifestation of 'unconditional' love!
I love birds too (I was admiring the beautiful creature on your shoulder)! I just lost my Peach Faced (Lutino) lovebird this year - she was a joyful fixture in my life for about 12 years.

Thanks for remembering a country like Nepal. Let it not go as bad as the other burning countries in issue.
  • Bhojendra M. Shakya

Have you been to Nepal Bonnie? What do you think is the situation of Nepal these days? It will be nice to know your views on Nepal specially in comparison to the other Asian countries.
  • Silja Saareoks-Kaldre

Thank you for the friend invite, Bonnie! Wish you all the blessings for the life of yours and for to give out for everyone in need. Love for you!

    Hey Bonnie,

Uncanny! I was just about to leave you a message when your note popped up on my page!! Thanks for filling me in--and good for you! We are faced with similar situations and find ourselves doing what we must to keep the real dreams alive...but we have considerably fewer 'friends'! Good luck with all of your endeavors and thanks for including us in your plans for the year.

Today is the 42nd anniversary (seems like the wrong word) of the Apollo 1 fire. I went out to Launch Complex 34 for a few moments of focus (we also have the Challenger and Columbia anniversaries over the next couple of days--all 3 events had tremendous impacts on my life). At any rate, I was incredibly aware of your presence as I stood out on the pad and reflected on the peace that flows so freely from the ruins of the launch platform. We definitely need to find the right way to share that special place!

I'm always available and look forward to figuring it all out with you when you get a chance to take a few deep breaths....

    love ya

    Larry

Way too much happening these days...if you haven't heard, Billy Powell, the incredible keyboardist and survivor of the old Lynyrd Skynyrd Band died this morning (56) in his home just down the road from me in Orange Park. I figured that you might have had opportunity to meet Billy back in the day...

    The world is changing...

    Dear Colleague
I have just returned from Geneva where the United Nations is preparing a conference to be held 20-24 April to look at current manifestations of racial discrimination and xenophobia. As a non-governmental organization in consultative status and active in human rights issues, the representatives of the Association of World Citizens participate in the preperations as well as in the conference.

In many parts of the world, there is an intensification of xenophobia - fear of the foreign- usually expressed as fear and rejection of the foreigner. We see propaganda against immigrants and the promotion of doctrines of cultural and religious superiority. Yet each situation is different. Thus, to prepare our contribution to the Conference, I would be glad to receive your experiences and analysis of the area where you live or know best concerning xenophobic currents and the rejection of cultrual diversity.

As things now stand, I think that I will stress three issues on which I have worked before, but I am open to other additions:

    1) Migration. Migration for work is already an important world pattern and is likely to grow with the impact of the economic downturn. It is important to look at the ways that migrants are treated. The fear of migrants and their impact on society is an important factor in xenophobia.

    2) Trafficking is an aspect and a particular form of the patterns of migration. There is a large underground economy linked to trafficking in persons. Trafficking is often treated as a police matter with little concern for the people so trafficked. Linked to the issue of trafficking is violence against women, especially women trafficked for the sex trade. While there are many forms of violence against women - often within the family - we can safely say that there is little trafficking of women for sexual purposes which is not associated with violence against women.

    3) There is a need to strengthen the United Nations and regional institutions to deal with the consequences of migration and trafficking in persons.

I would be glad to receive your comments and suggestions at my personal email
    wadlowz@aol.com. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Dear, Bonnie Zimmermann

You meant road idol that was in my husband's pictures.
We took that picture when we visited media park for traditional or historical drama or movie. and we took the other picture in the park.
that two road idols usually stands in front of entrance of town.
it was a kind of traditional civil belief.
road idol is a guardian deity. people believed the deity protect their town from bad things.
two road idols usually stand together. one is a male and the other is a female.
male idol wear a hat. and female idol doesn't have a hat.
the letters on the body of each idol mean "general of the sky"(it is the name of male idol) and "general of the land"(name of female idol).

    Have a happy day
    Peace and love with you
    Best, Janu

    Hi Bonnie
We live in a beautiful small city of 79,500 people in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand. We feel we are so priveleged to live in this little paradise on earth. We love travelling but we love coming home to clean, green, New Zealand where we have many more sheep than people. Gill and I live in the same place. This looks like a very interesting group with a great heart and soul.
    Love and Peace

    Hi Bonnie

Well I live in London although originally from the north of the UK Manchester. I have been an ati racsit activist for 30 years. I was laterly A senior political adiser to the former Mayor of London and of late I am spreading my wings and branching out into new areas hence my visit here. I was subjected to a filthy racist campaign in the media last year (google) but I am glad to say that I stronger as a consequence. I am new to all this technology but my experience has convinced me to find alternative means of communication and I want to be quite creative in doing so. I am married with 9 wonderful children and four grandchildren. London has 7 million people of which nearly half are from African, Asia and Caribbean decent making London the most ethnically diverse city in the globe. I am passionate about social and economic justice and protecting our fragile enviroment. I want to explore activism. music, technology, video can combine to support create, sustain social movements. I am anxious about the world we are to leaving for the next generation I fear we nmay have failed in our mission to leave the world in a better place. I intend to try, with others to do something about that.

    Hi Bonnie

You are right, that ZEN seems to be more a Terrain in the Catholic World and that Lassale, Johnston, Merton, Kennedy and others are all Catholics.

Nevertheless there are also Protestants, who go the Way of Meditation and have Experiences with ZEN, Contemplation etc.

30 Years ago I met a Pastor, who gave Instructions & Retreats in ZEN-Meditation. He became my mentor and later I worked with him for three Years in his Parish as a Vikar.
Today I give Meditation-Evenings twice a month in my own Parish.
And I benefit for myself "sitting in Silence" - especially because the protestant Faith has a lot to do with the Word, Intellect and "Thinking about ..." ;-)) ... So its good to get in Balance, be silent and in the Present of God again and again without too much Concept and intellectual Diskurses ...

    greetings from Germany
    Thomas

Hello Bonnie We are all architects in our own rights. We build what our samskaras permit us, knowingly or unknowingly. We however have been provided with the ability of choice which could be judiciously used. I am a holistic channel for healing which started off with my Reiki attunements about 20 years ago. Present developement is that healing comes thru energy thru my eyes, palms, feet, prana, sounds, beats, taps, etc. I do not charge as a chanel and do it purely out of love and service to whoever approaches me. I do not advertise my services. Its just my word of mouth who ever has karmic connection get connected to me. Together we shall work from our present locations for the planet, in whatever good work our ability permits. As for my dreams, I have no dreams! I accept life as it comes.

    Loves

    Ramesh
