Scarlet Ibis

The Scarlet Ibis (Eudocimus ruber) is a species of ibis that inhabits tropical South America and also Trinidad and Tobago. It is the national bird of Trinidad and is featured on the Trinidad and Tobago coat of arms along with Tobago's national bird, the Rufous-vented Chachalaca.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my picture. I took this picture whilst on holiday in America. As with many of my pictures, I'm embarressed to say, I don't actually know the name of the bird, plants that I'm taking pictures off.....lol. However I've just done a bit of research and this is what I found out:
