Hello from the Artists' Corner. I love to paint and carve, it is what I strive to spend my days in creative meditation, lost in blissful timelessness. My art ranges in an eclectic variance of styles and media. My drawing and painting styles extend from realism to impressionistic to abtract, psychedelic and surreal, the latter of which I use intense color combinations that vibrate your eyes and swirl your brain. My realism spans works in portraiture, and figurative anatomy, and equestrian art and landscapes, and illustration (book, fashion, sports).I have painted large murals, three of which no longer exist, at least the buildings have been demolished for new construction. I sculpt mostly in wood, but I have worked in stone and metal. Lately I have been carving totem poles that are about 10 to 15 feet in height, I hope to start working on much larger logs soon. I also like to discuss philosophy and religion and topical subjects with friends. I love to read; a diverse variety of subject matter.

I have seen your work before, perhaps on Facebook, and I really enjoy the way your subjects move. Even your sketches have movement. As an aspiring painter the most difficult task for me is to create a foundation through drawing that does not rely on color to transmit movement. When the subject moves because of the drawing there is so much more depth to the finished work.
So I just want to say how much I appreciate your skill as an artist.
I wish you love, light, and abundant opportunities to draw, paint, and sculpt during 2010.

"But my ancestors (the Huns) and relatives came from and still live Siberia (Chanti tribe), across from Alaska, and were a shamanistic people, many probably still are. They were more than likely the same people who came across the land bridge tens of thousands of years ago."
Sounds like "native ancestors" to me! Anyway, I like and agree with what drmike writes below: "It's one world, one love, one people for me today Louis."
I am honored by both of your friendships. One Love, ron
I had the marvelous fortune to see the last of this man's great displays as it when to the Boston Museum of Art in 1997.

He does murals and stand up art pieces. He was a real American gem.
These are some scattered examples on google images...

Here's something that I wrote today:
If theres nothing that I've got
There still nothing that I'd need
Cause the all that I've got
It is always in me
