I'm learning... when everything goes smoothly,

we feel blessed by the universe,

as if a fleet of angels is guiding

and supporting our every move.

When things are rough or ambiguous,

we sometimes feel that we have been abandoned.

And yet, the truth is that we are blessed in both cases.

Our angels and guides are always present.

They may choose at times to back off and

let us figure some things out for ourselves,

and this is when life seems difficult.

But when things are difficult,

we learn and grow in specific ways.

There is a unique satisfaction that comes to us

when we succeed at something that has been a challenge.

Our sense of self-reliance expands,

and our ability to endure and

keep the faith is stronger for having been tested.

We learn that we are capable of confronting

and overcoming the obstacles in our path,

and this empowers us to dream still bigger dreams,

knowing that we will not be daunted

by the challenges inherent in birthing them.

Anyway, we need to be prepared to accept loss,

sometimes devastating loss,

whether it is the loss of a loved one or a dream,

certainly feelings may arise within us

that are overwhelming or difficult to cope with.

The grief we are feeling is not a permanent state of being.

Rather, grief is part of the process of letting go

that in many ways can be a gift,

allowing us to go deeper within ourselves

to rediscover the light amidst the seeming darkness.

The emotions that accompany any kind of loss

can be intense and varied.

..

A sense of shock or denial is often the first reaction,

at other times you may feel outrage

toward the universe for what you are enduring.

You may even experience moments of strength,

faith, and laughter in between.

While these emotions seem to come and go sporadically,

it is important to feel them, accept them,

and allow them to flow.

With time, patience, and compassion,

you will eventually find your center again.

Know that while the hurt may fade,

the essence of what you had and

who you loved will have already transformed you

and forever stay with you.

If anything,

once you are ready for the pain of your loss to subside,

their memories can then live more fully within you.

Allow yourself to feel restored again,

the healing is part of the spiraling cycles of grief, of life.

We can not allow surrender to a natural movement

that is part of the dance of life.

When we find ourselves facing difficulties,

the chances are we know already whether

we are meant to continue on or let it go.

We simply need to look within ourselves for the answer.

Go ahead knowing that it is not always easy,

but when an idea is meant to be,

it comes back to us time and time again.

Then we know we can go forward,

no matter what challenges arise,

knowing that it is meant to be... I have learned.

"Desiderata"

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in

silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than… Continue
