Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

During a very difficult time in my life, I felt compelled to put into words, the only way I knew how to cope with the situation; focusing my awareness on the present moment.  This intention led to thoughts which manifested as song lyrics.  I would love to hear how these words would sound when put to music.

"Everything is Now"
By  Gary Van Havermaet

When the one that you love
Is so far away
You stop and ask yourself
Why didn’t she stay
And move in for good
Not just for weekends
The ache in my heart
When will it end

…you have to know…

(chorus)
It’s time to realize
And make a decision
Yesterday’s a memory
Tomorrow’s just a vision
Everything is now
Live within the moment
Everything is now

Sometimes you end up
With more month than money
You dream of a change
No, it ain’t funny
How you plan to move on
But then you’re afraid
To take the next step
So you let your dreams fade

…you have to know…

(chorus)
It’s time to realize
And make a decision
Yesterday’s a memory
Tomorrow’s just a vision
Everything is now
Live within the moment
Everything is now

Many long nights
are spent cold and lonely
when your eyes close
you wish you only
hadn’t taken the road
a little less traveled
to keep your whole life
from becoming unraveled

…you have to know…

(chorus)
It’s time to realize
And make a decision
Yesterday’s a memory
Tomorrow’s just a vision
Everything is now
Live within the moment
Everything is now

One day you will know
And feel so enlightened
It all becomes clear
No need to be frightened
To search for the truth
Just go deep inside
The joy you discover
You can’t bear to hide

…and now you know…

(chorus)
You’ve come to realize
And made a decision
Yesterday’s a memory
Tomorrow’s just a vision
Everything is now
You’re living in the moment
Everything is now

Thanks for the input Richard.
When I was in the U.S. Army stationed in Neu Ulm, Germany I did buy a guitar and start to play but put it down to pursue more exciting interests - girls.  So unfortunately, I never became a musician.  Playing guitar is still on my bucket list though.  I remember how enjoyable it was when my father played Johnny Cash tunes on his guitar for us when were little kids, and I would like to do the same for my "eventual" grand children.

Richard, Is there any chance that Carlos could get a look at these lyrics?  I'd like to get his feedback and find out if it's worthy for mainstream airplay after it's put to music.
