We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.
Over on my regular blog -- Notes from the Bluegrass -- I've started what I hope will be a growing movement for people everywhere to commit to praying, meditating, chanting, visioning or ... 10 minutes every Sunday between 7 and 11:59 p.m. in your time zone. The idea is to give everyone a wide enough berth in a realistic time frame that we can create waves of peace encircling the world.
I've suggested the lovingkindness chant:
May the Earth (the world) be filled with lovingkindness
May she be well
May she be peaceful and at ease
May she be happy.
But I encourage everyone to choose whatever form suits you -- the important thing is the focus on peace. One of my followers has already written another prayer and I'm encouraging everyone to create their own prayers if the chant doesn't suit and share.
I love for people to drop by the Collective Prayer Sundays page to make comments or share what you've written and I also put up a post each Sunday where people can share their experiences. I'm occasionally throwing out challenges as well.
I'm not creating an e-mail list (don't know how to do it from comments... not very interested in learning how) and wouldn't have anything to send you if I did so you won't find me in your inbox dogging you. I just a vision of this growing network of like-minded peace lovers to collectively work at being peace. Namaste, Leigh
