Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

If I were left to write the words that brought me here

That came from this place of strife

And the energy that can make it so clear

That these are strange dreams I have given life

I know behind the curtains

I always found you waiting there

Watching from the sidelines

And praying for my deliverance from what I fear.

If I could catch the love you gave to me that I could never see

And I could call on the promises you made

And still find a way to do what I need

Then who could write the script

And who would rehearse the play

It’s  ancient hidden sacrifice

That we make in your name today

And if you call my name

Can you be sure that I could hear

Your voice amidst the noise that’s made

When the audience all did cheer.

And when the play is over

And we return to the place where you hide

Then perhaps I’ll remember who I am

And find someway to ease  those fears from the mind.

And some prayers said in the darkness

Do find the fire to see us through

and all the illusions we dream in this world

find some of the purpose we came to do.

And if you really wonder

If it all matters, and if it’s true

There is a blessing waiting for you to find

In the time spent here with what you do.

For  always behind the curtain,

I know you are watching the play

And the prayers there are reaching some place

that will bring me back to your love today.
