I have just three things to teach:
simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and in thoughts,
you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.

Hi Beverly -
We launched the Ursa Freedom Project global action network yesterday to liberate 9,000 bears from crush cages on bile farms in China. Can you help spread the word? I'm asking people to join the Action Network and the group called Cyber Street Team so I can communicate with everybody in one location instead of across so many networks. There might be other groups you would like to join too to bring your personal touch to the campaign.

Here's where to go:
http://ursafreedomproject.ning.com

The bears thank you. I thank you. Mother Earth thanks you!

I'll be looking for you over there.

How exactly do you find your soul? I'm having trouble enough trying to find myself, how I perceive things and how my mind works. Is that what you mean?

Hi Beverly,

How are you? I've been very busy the last few days and in a few minutes we, Theo and I, are going for a walk in the forest. It's abeautiful sunny, but cold, day here. The ideal circumstances for making photos.

WOW, absolutely wonderful paintings!!! :-D
I love the crane bird, but also the beautiful, colorful goldfish. You are such a good painter, I knwo how difficult it is to paint moving water. And the leaves resting upon the water. Chapeau my friend :-)

Will send you the photos of P & H asap.

Love and warm regards,
Claudia.

Oh yeah, it went straight through...really sad, but even though much was lost, the people down there are strong. They are beginning to rebuild, lives and homes....and as you can see, are still able to find beauty!
Thanks Beverly for your kindness...I appreciate you.

Hi Beverly!
I will keep looking for Fred. Red was and is my angel dog, and it sounds like Fred came into your life to bring some loving your way too. Dogs are among some of the most spiritual people I've ever known. I made a video of Red to help cope with my grieving when he passed. I've got it posted on my page at ecopaparazzi, if you'd like to see it. It's called Love Song to Red. I think you would like to see it. It will probably make you think of Fred and be another catalyst for getting in touch with all the reasons you love him so much. I love that you live near a wildlife rescue shelter. This is something so near to my heart. I served as a volunteer for wildlife rescue for six years in Kentucky, and gained some of my greatest insights from working with orphaned and injured native Kentucky wildlife. It would be such a gift you could bring to your community to share the local area through your art talent. I'm sure that through your art you would inspire others to get in touch with the natural world around them and possibly motivate folks to get involved in Earth Healing actions in your region. Wow, using art as a change agent is powerful. Some of the strongest eco warriors I know are artists who take direct action through their art forms. It's going to be exciting to stay in touch with you and see what unfolds for you.

To creative growth indeed ...

HI Beverly -
What a wonderfully affirming note you have sent me. It affirms who you are and it affirms the power of one reaching out and touching the soul of another for inspiration and motivation. I am going to keep looking for that photo of you, because I have a feeling when I see it I am going to ask, "why in the world doesn't she like photos of herself?" It's good to read that you are getting over that as a first step to greater self-actualization. How exciting! I am looking forward to getting to know you and watching your transformation unfold. I love what you say about being willing to be a child and see the joy and wonder in our world that balances sorrow and despair. I struggle with the reality of what's happening to wildlife and their habitat. I research the issues daily and sometimes what I learn is more than my psyche can bear. I have been blessed with an inner child that never seems to want to grow up, right along with having an eco warrior spirit that stays honed on the battle field. It's a real yin and yang for me. Most of the time when my soul aches and heart feels like it's being ripped out of my chest from what I see and read about wildlife poaching, hunting, slaughter and massacres, I go first into prayer and meditation and then I walk and walk and walk and walk in nature. I walk until my legs ache, and being in the remaining vestiges of wild open spaces heals my aching soul, for a while, until the next wave of nausea sets in. But it's in the immediate healing, the presence of the Now, that the kid comes out and I begin to dance and sing and remember that there are still many good people in the world working to combat the malevolence. And I praise them through exuberant child-like energy. So, all of that to say, you, too, have inspired me. Thank YOU for responding to the hand of friendship with an openness of who you are.

Blessings, Beverly!
Jeanette.

Dear Beverly,

Oh how I wish I could get a massage from you! I am an Ayurvedic therapist, and massages are a big part of my work. I don't know for you, bur for me giving all those massages, I hardly ever get a massage myself!
What kind of massages do you give? And do you work for yourself or e.g. a beauty parlour?
I think we can send eachother our emailadress, if we use the button email on our AoaND-page. I will try it after this message, let me know if it works and if it is indeed private.
If so, I will send you the photograph of Pimmetje and Hannibal in high resolution via email.
I know what you mean when you tell me, that not every day is a good day for painting. With me it is with photography. Sometimes I just make one photo, et voila, it's exactly how I want it. But some days....I just cannot seem to get it right.
It's nice to hear that you still got your parents and that they are both in good health. Today I'm going to my parents. Every other week I visit them and give my mother an Ayurvedic massage and my father a feet massage and a special Ayurvedic treatment for his eyes, called tarpana. He is having a lot of troubles with his eyes and his eyesight. My parents are 73 and 76.

Isn't the beagle a handful for the two other dogs? Being only 1 and the others 10? That is why we got Hannibal. Well you never get a cat, they pick you!
Now Pimmetje and Hannibal can play together and leave the other two elderly cats alone. I know they appreciate our choice of bringing Hannnibal into our home ;-)

We do have a beautiful garden with a little pool with approx. 60 goldfish. But it is not that big unfortunately. We just put a lot of trees in it for the birds and as you can see for P & H.
We do get many different animals in our garden, especially birds and all different kinds of bugs.

What is it that you exactly do at the local art co-op gallery?

I'll have to run now. Need to go to my parents. And for Dutch conception, it's a long way. From the east of Holland to the west. It takes me about 1,5 hour :-)

I will snd you a quick note via email.

Enjoy the zigzags, they also happen for a reason.
Love to hear from you again.

Love and warm regards,
Claudia.

Hi Beverly,

Do you want me to send the photo of Pimmetje [Pim pronounced like pin, but with a m, me like muffin and tj like chocolate and e like muffin again!] and Hannibal to your email adress, or is the one on my AoaND page okay?
The Icon I used is an evening pimrose (Wikipedia: "Oenothera is a genus of about 125 species of annual, biennial and perennial herbaceous flowering plants, native to North and South America. It is the type genus of the family Onagraceae. Common names include evening primrose, suncups, and sundrops.") covered with morningdew, in our backgarden.
I love taking photographs of flowers, trees and animals. Specially little insects, butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, bugs and our 4 cats of course :-)
I will put a few more photos on my AoaND page this weekend. They are currently on another computer.

What kind of things do you paint? And did you already paint your dogs?
What kind of dogs do you have and what are there names?

Love to hear from you again.

Love and warm regards,
Claudia.

Hi Beverly,

You are more than welcome to use my photo. Especially for such a good cause. But, if you use this photo, I want you to send me a photo of your painting, when it is finished.
The cats are named: Pimmetje (the red/ginger one) and Hannibal, who comes from Belgium and is only 9 months old, but already as big as a tiger!!! They are playing together in the silver birch in our backgarden.
I think I have 2 more photos of Pimmetje and Hannibal playing in the tree, maybe even better ones. This photo was the only photo I had on this laptop. And only last week I made some very beautiful photos of trees in the snow, covered with frost, here in our National Parc. Let me know if you are interested and I will put them on my blog of AoaND.
No need to tell you, photography is my most favourite hobby :-)

Love to hear from you again.

Love and kind regards,
Claudia.
