Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Carl Sagan as Mr. X - Don't Bogart That Cosmic Joint, My Friend

I made this video from clips, a sort of collage of music and text and visuals.

What would you do if 800,000+ Americans were being arrested each year, for doing what Carl Sagan did and enjoyed? I figure ... nothing. And so how can they fully get anything about his total message? He could not say all that he wished to say. But now he is EX- Mr. Sagan and we should speak for him, loudly.

So I did something. Let's see what you can do. Until I see it, frankly I have little hope for a new dawn. I say we need a "Carl Sagan Day" world wide as we lay under the stars, as one mankind and ... break the laws of man, a grossly unfair and proven unjust priesthhod. That would be a beginning ... from there we'd go so much farther in succeeding Sagan days ... this is but one thought seed, between me and Mr. X..

But I act ... alone ... and make videos. You are Architects, and I wonder.

Country Joe & The Fish - Don't Bogart That Joint
The music of Vangellis from Cosmos
Carl Sagan - TV clips from Cosmos
Text is from online sources quoted in the video.
Good friend, sorta rhymes with Sa-gan One has to be able to read, to understand why I placed these two songs in one video, I think. Mr. X might serve as a "crossing over" as a bridge of consciousness. I feel so.
Please enjoy. I hope that it helps us to think clearly, and to feel our exciting potential.

"I know not how I may seem to others, but to myself I am but a small child wandering upon the vast shores of knowledge, every now and then finding a small bright pebble to content myself with."
~ Plato,

"I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me."
"If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants."

"The changing of bodies into light, and light into bodies, is very conformable to the course of Nature, which seems delighted with transmutations."

~ Sir Isaac Newton

In 1610, Galileo published his Sidereus Nuncius (Starry Messenger), describing the surprising observations that he had made with the new telescope. These and other discoveries exposed major difficulties with the understanding of the heavens that had been held since antiquity, and raised new interest in radical teachings such as the heliocentric theory of Copernicus. Many scholars attacked the theory because it seemingly contradicted several passages of Scripture. Galileo's part in the controversies over theology, astronomy, and philosophy culminated in his trial and sentencing in 1633 on a grave suspicion of heresy.

"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."
"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."
~ Thomas Jefferson

Newton demonstrated that white light separates into different colours on entering the raindrop because red light is refracted by a lesser angle than blue light. On leaving the raindrop, the red rays have turned through a smaller angle than the blue rays, producing a rainbow. The angle of diffraction in a rainbow is 42 degrees.

The "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is a science fiction comedy series created by Douglas Adams. In that story, he relates the story of a race of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings who built a computer named Deep Thought to calculate the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything ... the anwer was revealed to be 42 ... just ... 42.

I ask you now, will you forget Cheech and Chong? I ask not as a sterrotypical fool, but as Carl Sagan, "Is it 420 yet?"

Dictionary definion," high·road" :

b) The most positive, diplomatic, or ethical course.
