We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Ubuntu is a traditional African philosophy that translates as, "I am because you are." It's startlingly simple: "I cannot go to bed with a full belly if my neighbor is hungry." Across the planet, indigenous cultures hold similar convictions: for example, the Maya say In Lak'ech, "I am another yourself."
