...Horses have always been Spirit Guides for this one...

You are very welcome, Elaine.. and thanks to everyone for your comments and understanding of this group. I have benefited tremendously from the grace and spirit I have seen and experienced through horses. They have just always, somehow, seemed to be present -- with their quiet beauty and strength -- to demonstrate a different way of "being." Many people talk about a "horse whisperer" -- well, I think, if you listen carefully, the horses are actually the ones that whisper messages and guidance to us. :o) ..not the other way around. Regardless, there are many lessons to be learned by watching horses. I'm excited to read more from what others have experienced.. and yes, let's make sure we use all these lessons to better ourselves and this world we all live in. Love, ~Leah

"It is our inner-horsepower". Leah, thanks so much for this. :)
What a great way to remember our Spirit!

I love this! Horse totem is the symbol of physical strength and spiritual power, which is unconditional Love. I have learned so much from them the past few years and strengthen my own spirit each day by remembering who I am through them. This is what they teach us. Thanks so much! Peace.

Hi Charly, I also have a life-long love of horses, also read every 'pony' book ever written when I was a little girl......I dreamed of horses all the time, finally sharing my life with a special equine when I was about 17, what a joy. How about we, as a group, offer our loving energies out to the horses of the world, especially those who do not have easy lives...I know they will receive our love because they are so very tuned in!

I fell deeply and endlessly in love with horses when I was four years old. They were love and power in harmony, beauty and freedom in nature. I read every horse book I could get my hands on (I think they motivated me to learn to read) and had a herd of invisible horses living my closet. I manifested my first horse in grad school and have been blessed to live with several. I'm thinking I might want to do that again. Thanks for this group!

When my family started riding I was often left behind because I was too little. A wonderfully kind woman would ride her huge black horse named Diamond through the city streets to my house. She'd haul me up behind her and we'd go across the street to the athletic fields and they would perform dressage just for me. To return the favor, I'd ride my bike and trudge up the hill to visit Diamond so he'd have company when his Mistress was traveling. He loved her so much he wanted nothing to do with me. He'd figured out the only time he saw me was if she wasn't there and he snubbed me roundly. Then, her daughter left a western broke pony in the paddock with him and they fell instantly in love. Even the barn cat was happy for them.
Love, Erin

I love this idea for a group. I shared many years with a beautiful half-Arab gelding when I lived in New Zealand and I still miss him though quite a few years have gone by now since he joined the ponies in the sky....! Horses connect us with our spirit and remind us of the magnificence of life.....

Hello Leah,

Great group idea...

Yup, I'm one of those who had a horse that I still miss. I grew up on a ranch and she and I used to explore the countryside together.
We had an intuitive relationship. I could walk out to the pasture and know in a glance if she wanted to be ridden or not that day. One day I knew she didn't want to, but I wanted to... so I bridled and saddled her anyway and we went riding. We were galloping across a field at a high speed and she suddenly bucked me off. I knew and she knew I knew, so I never made her go again if she didn't want to. She was a quarter horse named Lady.

I begged for a Shetland pony and finally got one... he was mean and kicked me so hard one day that he threw me about ten feet back and I laid there, unable to breathe for what seemed like forever. We got rid of him shortly thereafter.

Metta,
Jeanne
