PEACE
by Sara Teasdale

PEACE flows into me
AS the tide to the pool by the shore;
It is mine forevermore,
It ebbs not back like the sea.

I am the pool of blue
That worships the vivid sky;
My hopes were heaven-high,
They are all fulfilled in you.

I am the pool of gold
When sunset burns and dies,--
You are my deepening skies,
Give me your stars to hold.

My Divine Mirror
Where Oneness Abides

by Ron Alexander

I have seen You in our eyes.
You that never lies.
You that cannot despise.
You that never cries.
You that nobody buys.
You that needs no ties.
You where freedom flies.
You that never dies.
You where Oneness abides.

Woke up buzzing with bliss
Made me want to get up and bless
Body still tired so I sent
Blessings from bed instead

Labelling is attempting to
box the ocean,
while the truth is that we
are similar to magnificently complex
picture puzzles,
which
when completed
illustrates the
Universe.

Notice I must have had cosmic sleep dust still in my eyes yesterday AM, as I used "crossword" instead of "picture" puzzle.

You got that right life is a zig-zag path, thanks for your response, drmike - always light and insightful:
Here it is morning, and a poem, with words
like stars and planets have been dancing,
twinkling in my night sky mind.
The sun is now shining, instead
of saying it out loud, I write it here on
this cosmic cyberspace connection miracle.

Labelling is attempting to
box the ocean,
while the truth is that we
are similar to magnificently complex
crossword puzzles,
which
when completed
illustrates the
Universe.

Need say nothing, silence talks enough, ron

I had stopped at a convenience store on the way to work. I needed to pee and purchase a sunday newspaper. As I was getting in the car to leave, an old toothless
skinny man approached me holding a Bible. Well, I thought, I will get rid of him by donating a couple of bucks. I opened my billfold, and handed him a five. He spotted a ten, and said that was what he needed. I took the five back and gave him the ten. Then he told me that his church van was broken down and he needed a ride. I told him that I was needing to get on to work. He said I am going the same way. How did he know? Anyway, he did point the same way, so I cleaned off the front seat and let him in. I started going the way he pointed, but he kept getting me to turn at every other block. I asked him if he was the preacher, and he said he was. I told him I had just left church and he wanted to know what the minister preached about. I told him "Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save the world." He handed me a walnut-sized glass ball with the world painted on it, and then two more smaller "crystals" (what he called them), he said I would need in my work. What did he know about my "work"? After a couple of more zig-zags, he said "let me off here" (edge of a ghetto) while asking for some more money. I told him "no more money" while letting him out. I have never seen the "crystals" again.

Green ruffles sprout
From love-red bodies
Floating high
On peaks of white

W i d e-E y e d
Children stare in anticipation
Some even drooling

Then REMEMBERING THE R U L E S

On feathered feet
Or so it seems
The silent search begins
For the resident hound

The children know well
Barney's passion for peas
After all...
He eats them E V E R Y Easter

Like a white-pawed Commandant
Barney's nose sniffs
Along the endless string of relations

INSPECTING

Expecting the perfect prize to descend
From the heavenly spread
Above his head

Who will sacrifice their peas for me?
He wonders from the cartoon bubble
At his ready mouth

Aunt Ruby?

Uncle Paul?

Ah yes, Cousin Dennis
Willingly surrenders
His green jewels
Simply because H E C A N

He does it because...
He is TOO OLD FOR

T H E R U L E S

The children signal
The precious pooch
"Over here boy"
They summon with pleading eyes
But sadly Barney's love for peas
Has been assuaged

The children, crestfallen
Resign their selves to the unthinkable…
EASTER WITHOUT DESSERT

Little Mary picks at her plate
While Bernadette the budding beauty
Pushes peas from corner to corner
Then surreptitiously buries them
Under S M A S H E D potatoes

Suddenly

Angelic Anthony glances on high
And beams as he catches the eye
Of Jeshua Ben Joseph

Who with HIS sacred heart
Sends desire through HIS fingertips
To the great lover of the green pearls
Whose lust for them
Has mysteriously re-emerged

One-by-one
Barney visits each
Pint-sized patron
Gratefully accepting
Fists full of luscious legumes

The meal is done
And while the table is cleared
The children stand at attention...

Surveying the prize...

Little mouths set in anticipation
Of a round trip to heaven

A T L O N G L A S T
Gram queries
"Who saved room for dessert?"

Rewarding her profoundly patient "pups"
She serves the children first

Their ordeal ended
They rush to the table
And gobble their scrumptious spoils

Jeshua Ben Joseph winks at them
From the ethers
As their appreciative spirits ascend
To join HIM in a heavenly hug
