Amy and Mark...
hi everyone! I just joined by the invitation of a friend. My boyfriend Mark and I are interested in networking with others that are farming organically. Mark has a young, small, almond orchard (29 acres) in the Central Valley of California (south Merced area). Right now, the trees are still young. 21 acres of 4 year old trees, and 9 acres of 1 year olds.
Last year was the first harvest, which created 7700 pounds of nuts. Now that the trees are getting a little bit older and more stable, we are looking to transition to an organic orchard. We are new to this process, and haven't really started it yet, but we are trying to learn all we can to see what is possible.

Last night my friend took me out to one of my all time favorite Thai restaurants to celebrate and I have decided to celebrate all week after my Lymie friend Jo Ann told me she now does that because that way if you don't feel good you have all week to find good days to have fun. Tomorrow I might go swimming at my friends club and then go do a hot tub at her house.
Now that I have had some quality sleep and an acupuncture session I am feeling much better. Playing in the garden today but plan to call you later to see if you are home. Good sleep always puts me in a better mood! My friend and her husband called me from Australia last night which was super nice too. They want me to help with a party there next Jan. I might be up for it then..
