I am a consultant, event producer and life-long social activist working from my home office in the Union Square neighborhood of San Francisco. Originally from New York, I have been active as a professional and civic community organizer in the Bay Area for over 25 years.

I work under the name of Brian Webster and Associates (www.brianwebster.com) as a consultant in sales, marketing and business development.

I am the manager of Sound Action (www.soundaction.com), a virtual consultancy team that provides hands on services for producing events, raising funds and growing resources for nonprofit organizations, campaigns and worthy causes.

I am involved with several non-profit and NGO groups working on global and local social problem solving, including the ONE Campaign and RESULTS.

Like many social entrepreneurs, I have always felt passion for social goals the way others feel passion for personal goals. My personal philosophy is based on Buckminster Fuller’s concept of using personal commitment and design science for global problem solving and the sustainable success of humanity.

I am actively developing a new social enterprise and citizen's campaign called Human Race Day (www.humanraceday.org). It is inspired by Sport Aid and focused on creating political will to meet the Millennium Development Goals.

I have has been active producing videoconferences to promote the idea of the Interactive Plaza (www.interactiveplaza.org) - public spaces with large screen interactive global videoconferencing that are free and open to the public.

I am the designer and producer of Instituto Laboral de la Raza’s Green Labor-Capital Breakfast at the Delancey Street Town Hall held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 (www.ilaboral.org). I also produce Instituto’s annual fundraising Labor Awards Dinner, which is the largest Labor Awards event in the country.

"Hi Sergio. Glad to see you here. I remember you from pioneering Friendly Favors and a long ago event at your house. This space is really cool. I have put up some video, which is very easy to do. Events are easy to post too. I posted the TED & BIL events. Cheers, -Brian"
