We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.
A new way of perceiving Your Reality
As humans, we have become fixated with quick fixes and self-help books directed only to specific issues in our lives. We have been reaching for that certain pill, diet, program, regime, or scheme designed to treat the symptoms of our unease, instead of facing the unease itself. We want to feel good or better and we want it now and so we tend to seek out anything that promises that kind of quick fix. But no matter how much we reach for these band-aid fixes and self-help how to’s, we are destined to continue suffering because we are overlooking the core issue of separation.
This sense of separation manifests in a number of ways, but its hallmark is a sense of lack. Lack is the ongoing sense that something is missing or something is wrong. Our stories feel “incomplete.” We look to the future for completion. Like a laboratory hamster spinning on a wheel, we never seem to find that completion in our story of time. So we keep working, doing, achieving, and trying to reach that completion. We keep trying to change ourselves, hoping that one day we will reach an arrangement of thoughts and feelings about ourselves that makes us feel complete. It’s rather exhausting isn’t it?
Oftentimes, we make decisions out of fear, rather than love. The future is scary. Somewhere, up ahead in the story, we fear that we might find financial ruin, the end of a relationship, physical suffering, and/or death. And so we build up an arsenal of “viewpoints” that protect us from experiencing or facing the fear and lack. We emphasize limiting concepts about ourselves, others, and the world. “I can’t do this.” “I’ll never get to where I want to go.” “Others are holding me back.” “I’m afraid I’ll fail.” “I’m a loser.” “I’m unworthy.” “My past keeps me from moving forward.” “What if something bad happens in the future?” “She doesn’t understand me.” “He is wrong.” “No one loves me.” “People are stupid.”
We are self-conscious beings. This is what makes us unique. But we have become overwhelmed by that self-consciousness. We live in memories and pictures of ourselves. We live almost exclusively in our minds. We worry about how we see ourselves and how others see us, which makes us preoccupied with social prestige, attractiveness, age, wealth and all sorts of other material aspects!
These limiting ideas and beliefs add to the sense that something is lacking, that something is wrong—which in turn, propels us towards more seeking into the future. We live in this story of time, constantly referencing the past for our identity and the future for the completion of the story. All the while, we miss the freedom in the midst of our present experience. We are too busy dreaming about days gone by and the weeks and months to come to really look around and see the abundance before us.
We are also “the species of disorders,” and carry a long list of conditions having to do with our psychological and emotional makeup:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Attention Deficit Disorder
• Addiction
• Co-Dependency
• Antisocial Personality Disorder
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
• Agoraphobia
• Panic Disorder
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
…and this is just a short list!
What is Living Realization?
Living Realization is a modern teaching that demystifies enlightenment. For centuries, people have sought “enlightenment” to end suffering or to realize the truth of reality. Enlightenment is simply the seeing through of that sense of limitation and separation that is our constant companion as humans. Regardless of what type of disorder you may suffer from, we are keenly focused on providing you with the key to your freedom. This “key”, is the freedom from separation itself.
Living Realization is not a temporary “band-aid fix” or self-help program. It deals with the core issue of separation itself (which is the underlying issue behind many human mental and emotional imbalances) and its down-to-earth, simple language, is accessible to anyone and everyone.
In our daily lives, we are usually too busy emphasizing thoughts of the past and future to really delve into this present doorway. With simple reminders and key inquiries that help us relax and recognize awareness repeatedly throughout the day, that recognition becomes stable. Awareness is our most basic identity. The recognition of that identity provides an unshakable peace and indestructible freedom. It provides the emotional and mental balance and stability we are seeking.
More than anything else, this recognition provides an end to our “band-aid fix” mentality where we look to short term remedies to deal with long term psychological and emotional issues. The era of “band-aid fixes” is on its way out. We are now moving into an era of rapid change in the area of human emotional and psychological health and well-being. Living Realization stands at the cutting-edge of this movement.
A few simple changes in your life make all the difference!
