Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Sometimes I think that intention and creation are at odds with one another. Can I intentionally create, or is creation something that just happens out of nothing? Actually, I think it is a little of both.

Take this morning for example. On Sunday mornings, I generally set up my info table and related paraphenalia on the side walk in Ojai, across the street from the Farmer's Market. That is what I did today. My general intention in being there is to inform and inspire people about what is possible for human beings through connection with homeless people. (BTW, I am aware that "homeless" is not a good adjective to use, but it translates fastest in most people's minds). And that is what happens - the people I meet on the sidewalk are informed and inspired by the project.

Today, I took on an additional intention - to create resources to support and sustain the Hearts Of Fire Project, my vehicle for connecting and empowering people. I realized that my intention to create something specific (i.e., resources) is important. Even more important is my ability to be in the future, experiencing what it would be like for me to have the resources now. I did that today. I created more than I envisioned, perhaps many times more. Generousity and love flowed around and through me like a great river and I am humbled by the experience.

As I suspected, I am the barrier to the expression of my life. More specifically, the thoughts and feeling that I create give me the experience of my life. I created new thoughts, new feelings from those thoughts and lived into a future that appeared for me today. And I am so grateful and blessed.
