Freedom Chant - Native American spiritual drumming and chant

December 6, 2009 at WomanVoice, an annual celebration in Toronto in honour of the 14 women murdered in Montreal 20 years ago. This Freedom Chant is an improvised song with beautiful audience participation. Brenda MacIntyre came up with the idea about an hour before the show, so this was not a song already written. It was spontaneously co-created by Brenda, her sacred drum and the audience at Ellington's Music & Cafe.
