I congratulate all Americans on this historic day. At times like these I wish I could be part of the American dream, to be motivated and inspired in this way. May America play a leading role in the awakening of a new dawn. I have no doubt that nothing is impossible for an inspired and committed nation.

Well, I for one hope he can put his money where his mouth is. I am not a nay sayer, but he's got a lot of work to do. I will support him as long as he is a good leader, and does what he set out to do.

Having a Afrrican American President will change the whole world and i believe in him that he will change the whole world because he has his mind straight if he wasnt a smert politician he wouldnt be pick but he was pick so yeap all i can say yes we can si see puede . its a big change for America Because no more desrimination no more fight

No more discrimination? You don't live in the south!!! The people are still socially separated. And it is pushed from both sides. I have not seen a growth down here, at least from the old timers, and some of the new. Now I hope that we can push past this, but I was just told this morning, "This country is F'd up because women and blacks are allowed to vote." Now this is what I listen to from not only Older people, but younger ones as well. Now if we want a change both sides are going to have learn to start talking, without oustide opinions.

Discrimination is even alive and happening in San Francisco. Some unions will only allow a token few women and people of color to work through them here. I do think on the whole discrimination is slowly becoming a thing of the past.

Well, my whole thing with equal rights, is that you should have exact equal rights. I have noticed that quite a number of women these days want all the rights that a man has, but they don't want to do the work that a man does. This is not sexism, this just is. My wife and I share responsibilities. She cooks and does laundry, I clean dishes and take out the garbage. We live in an apartment. But we share responsibilities. She does the bills, I take care of the cars, etc. That's equality. We share in the responsibilities, and we share in the benefits of being man and wife. Our money goes in together, no separate accounts. Enough with all the impartial, bipartisan crap as well. The conservatives and the democrats have been separating us for too long. That's my whole thing with all this. The Liberals want you to think this way, the other side is comletely the opposite. Every one talks about a balance, but I see none. In the tradition of true freedom we need a woman/man, or more than one, that can understand that not everyone in this country thinks the same as the bipartisan dictators we have listened to for so long. I wish for evolution of government...

Equality is bigger than government and has to begin in your own backyard. As a woman I am happy that your wife shares in the everyday responsibilities of your lives. It called being a partner and a family. Sharing responsibilites has nothing to do with what political party you support.
