I just found this

http://www.sfbg.com/blogs/bruce/2009/06/big_lineup_for_40th_anniversar.html

Gilbert Johnson would be a good artist to use too. I have worked with him before, You could even have him drawing or painting something at the booth or get him or Stanley to design the booth. Gilbert can build sets too. I wonder if Stanley would want to sell his books and T-shirts at your booth if you are allowed to sell things? He could design a T-Shirt to sell at the booth and the profit could go to an arts program or something.

Hand out flowers or raw chocolates or washed strawberries. Have crayons for kids to color with and then display their art work around the booth and each child gets some sort of little prize for their art work and can take the little pack of crayons home with them. Big kids can color too.

You could hire Stanley Mouse to design useable postcards you could hand out.

Rick when will the 40th Anniversary be? You could hand out bottles of bubbles with an imprinted message on the bubble bottle. It could be sort of along the lines of a Dr. Bronner bottle with the message of peace.

Hi everybody... we have been invited to have an Architects of a New Dawn presence at the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock event in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Anyone want to help us at our booth, or have any ideas about how we can best reach people with our message, just let me know...

Thanks so much...

Hello! I'm also in Santa Clara County in Milpitas. I've been involved in technology marketing since the early 80s and I'm taking a break this summer to spend time with my teenage sons and consider if I may shift my career to be closer to my passions of promoting peace and creating community. I'm creating a local health and wellness group to encourage fitness and wellbeing. It's also been rewarding to help my high school son reach out to his grammar school where he is now developing a video of their summer program. I enjoy learning about healing modalities and have practiced reiki. Recently I've been encouraged to read Jerry Jampolsky's work, specifically Teach Only Love. When I slow down the synchronicities of the world seem to open up and wonderful things come into my path. I just returned from the Tuscan region of Italy where I spent a week touring Florence and nearby towns including Siena, Pisa and Luca. When we arrived at the main square in Florence the cloudy sky grew darker, there was thunder and lighting and it began to pour. It was a treat to see the cobblestones glisten and the beautiful statues stand out as the people ran for shelter in the shops and restaurants. The rain didn't last long, but it made for a magical experience. It seems that I already have some kinship with Teresa given her interests and close proximity to where I live. I look forward to meeting other Bay Area Architects of a New Dawn--I love the sound of that!

Hi I am in Santa Clara County. I am a peace activist teacher. I am looking forward to sharing the message of Peace to the schools' staff, teachers, administrators, students and parents. Hearts and Hands Elders www.heartsandhandselders.com promotes the California Peace Movement by including community elders to deliver the peace messages via poetry, literature, literacy , music, art and community service.
I am attempting to promote the participation of International Peace Day here locally in the bay area by following the guidelines from
(www.peaceoneday.org) on 9-21-09. I will encourage Charles Weis Superintendent of Santa Clara County Schools and ACSA President for California state school administrators to support this project too. I will participate at my own school, George Mayne Elementary located in Alviso, California. I will promote this day in our school district, Santa Clara Unified School District. I will also volunteer at Woodstock 40th Anniversary Free Peace Concert and Eco -Village on Sunday October 25, 2009 in San Francisco Golden Gate Park. We expect in excess of 150,000 peace givers and eco- friendly "green children and green beings!" Hope you can join us to celebrate peace in the bay area and beyond!
