Creating Peace Through Music
Music has always been the savior of my sanity. From the time I was a young child learning hymns in church - my favorite is "Morning Has Broken" - singing has been the way I best process my emotions and return from the chaos that may be swirling around me back to my center of peace. I immersed myself in music studies over a lifetime to return to that place of peace on a daily basis. It is truly the Spirit in motion.
While teaching in day care, public school settings and private lessons, I have witnessed over and over again that music engages young people's minds in positive directions. When you have something positive to focus on, you can create plentiful positive situations in your everyday experiences.
I have a love for improvisation that was fostered by studying with masters of jazz - I took private lessons with Dave Burns, a member of Dizzy Gillespie's Big Band. I am so grateful to have had that experience. I am so blessed to have had the teachers in my life that have encouraged me to follow my dreams and talents. One of the dreams I am working on now is a method book to teach others how to improvise - sharing this love of creating music.
The best thing you can do for a child, friend or partner is to notice what they are doing right and be supportive of them following their bliss. You may not ever know the full impact of what you have done for them, but you will have made their heart fill with the abundance of love the Universe has for everyone on this planet.

I am happy to hear your nice words. You are so nice person and kind hearth lady. I am also agree with you, what we are trying is offering the peace and love to the people around us. Although now Iran is not in a good situation in due of the political points, but you could open an account on me as your friend when ever you need any assistance from my side or interested to travel to this region.
Wishing you the best moments in your life. Behrooz
Thanks for your kindness and I hope this would be the start of a long term friendship.
Take care, Behrooz
Yeah its cold and windy in Mill Valley. It's like living in the Sunset in SF sometimes. A couple weeks ago, I got myself invited to a backyard party in Hayward at the home of Mingo Lewis, who used to be Carlos Santana's drummer. Mingo now has a band called Vortex Tribe. It was a couple of hours of superb music. I'm growing fonder of your side of the Bay.
