"I think, therefore, I am."
~ René Descartes
"We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aid, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn."
~ Henry David Thoreau
Many of us start the day on autopilot: we get out of bed, dress, drink coffee to try to get the cobwebs out and head to work. What we haven't done is truly wake up to our environment. Awareness is more than being just… Continue

Psychologists say that road rage occurs because drivers go on the road expecting to have a smooth ride. But that is rarely the reality. There will be hold ups and other drivers who are not perfect. If we venture onto
the roads expecting obstacles on our drive (which is the reality), we will not have road rage. Road rage
occurs through a driver not accepting reality.
Similarly, life is never going to turn out exactly how we want it to... so we must expect that, and meet…

My name is not important. I should be dead. I may go to prison for ten years so I got strong. Not with push ups or by playing basketball. With the greatest weapon. As I read here in the midst of all this concrete and steel, I copied things from books that made sense to me, that sharpened my mind and spirit. I want to share them with you. You can only give away what you truly have. That’s why giving is receiving. The sayings on these pages are my gift to you. If one gives you strength copy it…

Jerry's book Love Is Letting Go of Fear changed my life. I wish everyone in the world could consume its simple yet completely transforming message. I hope through this site more people will choose love over fear and see the world through new eyes. Just imagine the world we could see if we all followed Jerry's mantra ... teach only love, for that is what you are!
Blessings to you Jerry, Diane and Carlos. Thank you for all you do.

Patricia Cota-Robles' latest message,
This Is Our Moment! brought a smile to my face, as I've been living my light in service for many years with a dwindling bank balance, doing my best to live the trust frequency I've written about (most recently in my March
What Shines newsletter), in my
Health, Wealth… Continue

Simply put, still your mind while letting go of everything that concerns you, and at the same time look around you at things in a simple way.
Now for the fuller version. The steps should open up your child awareness, which is a hairs width away from mystical or transcendent awareness.
You have to still your mind of thoughts. Then you have to mentally let go of everything.... this can be in words but better if you can just kind if feel it. Go through all the things that are…

I think it's kind of funny, really. I am a member of a lot of on-line communities and, until today, one of them was the AARP website. Today I tried to login to that one and it says that my account has been suspended for posting something that is against their policy.
Now, the only things I post anywhere are messages about my environmental program. And the AARP community is supposed to be a place to share ideas about what we are doing in our "retirement" years.
Maybe they…

I have one little ceramic and iron table in my house that I keep empty. I use it most every day to hold a cup of tea or to rest a book. I make sure that nothing comes to stay on this table for more than a brief period because it symbolizes open space and receptivity; it represents having room for something new in my life.
The tendency to stay overly busy, or to fill the surface of every table and counter leaves little room to receive new input. And it often reflects a repetitive…

I am heading to Waiheke Island, New Zealand, a 35 minute ferry ride from Auckland. NZ it turns out is the 4th safest country in the world and certainly one of the most beautiful. And, the dollar buys you properties at a 50% discount at the moment.
There on Waiheke lives a friend, Calude Lewenz who has written a brilliant book on how to develop vibrant communities. His video can be seen at the link below. What you will view is a presentation he made in Australia to Thought Leaders who…

"To care for anyone else enough to make their problems one's own, is ever the beginning of one's real ethical development."
