Butterfly Laughter
Katherine Mansfield

In the middle of our porridge plates
There was a blue butterfly painted
And each morning we tried who should reach the
butterfly first.
Then the Grandmother said: "Do not eat the poor
butterfly."
That made us laugh.
Always she said it and always it started us laughing.
It seemed such a sweet little joke.
I was certain that one fine morning
The butterfly would fly out of our plates,
Laughing the teeniest laugh in the world,
And perch on the Grandmother's lap.

I think I sent a picture of my best friend, companion and everything else who loves me no matter what, she isn't the first sheltie I have had, my first came to me when I needed her and possibly she needed me as well, both shelties have been with me 14 years, Kelly passed on in 1997 and it wasn't to long after when I met Athena who is still with me, growing old together and it is truly a blessing, hope her picture shows up, thanks bunches what a grand bunch of people you all are. love ya!!! SpiritView, the cheetah is magnificent. Is that one of your originals? It's stunning!

It's good to see the energy flowing here for the moon bears. They need us! We are their only voice. Join the Action Network and help spread the word. That's what we need more than anything right now is for people to learn that bear bile farming is a reality. Awareness often leads to action. But if there's no awareness there is no action. How can you help?

Our animal friends do enrich our lives very much, probably more than we can comprehend. Unconditopmal love is the main one I think for without that one unconditional feeling for others we really truly do stand alone. So bless my pet and pets throuout the days gone by too. Always a smiling face and wagging tail doth great me when arriving home from work - kind of lets one forget all the trauma of the day just past and from then on it is nothing but fun time. Either going for a long walk which we both need, a for sure thing and then returning home to relax have a great meal and enjoy the rest. Something about a pet, one cannot get into resentments very well, for there is no point really, or grudges - these are the most hateful of all - bottling ourselves up over a stupid grudge for nothing for by tomorrow it will be gone, all I have to say is thankyou.

I am pleased to see concern for our friends that share this world. We must support each other and recognize how important our diversity is to the future.
