The creatures of this world are our most generous teachers. How can we support them more? By loving them all and being that love in the world. By being in integrity with our own practices regarding the creatures we share the world with. By honouring them with our thoughts and actions. I bet you all have lots of other ideas too!

I have never lived for an extended period without animals in my family. The pictures below are of our Norwegian Skaukatt, Willie and our blue fronted amazon Pipp. Willie is now 19 years old, Pipp is somewhere between 20 and 40 ... she has had several 'owners' before us.
As I see it, people mostly keep pets for their own personal benefit, not for the pets' benefit. Having custody of any living being entails responsibility, love, and concern.

I love the pics. Steven both your cat and bird's personalities and light really come across well in the photos.

I was just watching a Nature program about humans and their pets on PBS. One woman said the wonderful thing about pets is "Their love really touches your soul when you are sick".

The truth is their love touches our souls every day. That is the amazing thing about pets. They are truly earth angels and are constantly overflowing with love. They are incredibly healing to be around on a daily basis.

Sometimes I find animals more honest and direct and less manipulative than many humans. Some animals are more grounded and in their bodies as well compared to many humans.

Sometimes it seems much easier to love or be around animals then humans. I don't quite know why. Maybe because animals are so good about loving unconditionally?

I could sit for hours, if I could afford to, and watch the different birds that visit my feeder. I am sill amazed at how they know exactly what type of seed is offered.
