FAITH IS YOUR FOUNDATION
“When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly”

I created a proposal to do a documentary and I titled it Love Is The Answer. The purpose of this documentary was to do a comparison and contrast of families who reside in Uganda, Africa; Azerbaijan, Turkey and the U.S.
I wasn't able to get funding but received a 'possible authorization' letter from Barbara Streisand's agent at that time Martin something maybe Erlichman, as I requested to use her song "People Who Need People" and "Evergreen". And at that time Mel Gibson was very…

THE EDUCATION THAT has prevailed in the past is very insufficient, incomplete, superficial. It only creates people who can earn their livelihood but it does not give any insight into living itself. It is not only incomplete, it is harmful too -- because it is based on competition.
Any type of competition is violent deep down, and creates people who are unloving. Their whole effort is to be the achievers: of name, of fame, of all kinds of…

A friend sent me an email this morning about Sucker Day, an annual celebration in Wetumka, Oklahoma that started in 1950 when a grifter convinced the townspeople that he would stage a circus for them, took their money, and disappeared. When the people discovered the swindle, they laughed at themselves and decided that since they were prepared for having a carnival that they would have one anyway. So they staged their own parade and had such a great time that it has become an annual…

An Adventure always begins with a calling. A deep stirring in the soul that pulls at our very core, beckoning us toward the mystery. Perhaps it is this calling that drives people to invent, create, and step faithfully beyond their comprehension, driven by a knowing that at the other end of the unknown lies a revelation that will change there lives and the lives of those around them. I remember the day I first felt this calling. I was a young child embraced by the forest of the northern woods.…

INNER PEACE CREATES FREEDOM.
"Responsibility does not only lie with the leaders of our countries or with those who have been appointed or elected to do a particular job. It lies with each of us individually. Peace, for example, starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us"

Riding Around
Riding around in the country
On a day like today
Is a gift I give myself
For the rest of my life.
Most of my life is spent in doing things
That certainly don’t inspire my heart to sing,
But when I am here there is nothing
That I allow to get in the way
Of enjoying the beauty of this day.

Possibility Waits
Who knows what infinite possibility waits
For me around the bend?
Knowing the potential of each Holy Instant,
I go forth to meet my good.
I’m willing to be an extension of You
Wherever I find myself.
Use me, Oh Lord, to do Your will,
As I long ago agreed.
I’m willing to do what needs to be done;
I give permission to use me.

My daughter, and our family went to a petting zoo not long ago, the two little baby girls that are my granddaughter and great-grandaughter were having a ball. We took them to where the pigs were sleeping and they were allowed to pet them and we took pictures. The docent who was leading us told us that pigs are the cleanest animals of all, they will not deficate or pee in their own area. They do not eat a lot, nor do they eat everything and anything as most people think. The reason that they get…

SEE THE LARGER PICTURE.
Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.

Pigs are intelligent animals and deserve our prayers.
How can humans be so thoughtless to think that pigs on this planet want to even be here anymore, if ever.
Why on earth would anyone want to eat them now. They are being slaughtered by the millions.
Did they cause our illness or did we cause theirs?
My girl friend, by accident ran over 20 baby pigs last week. It was dark and she thought it was raccoons but it was wild pigs. They were running…

I live in an area with a huuuuge amount of old people.
It's an area that was hyped up as a retirement area----and it's decrepit, aging, at times sad, and probably dangerous.
These super old people drive, and that makes it a risky adventure, on the streets here.
And, my Beach Buddy lives here too, although he is---absolutely---the youngest person here. He's in his very early 40's.
At first, he thought that all of the old people around here---well---he thought it was…

Empathy vs. Objectivity
Empathy and objectivity seem to be incredibly different at first glance. Empathy is all about your mirror neuron systems doing their jobs in the insula region of the brain, causing you to have experiences internally that match what you are viewing or hearing externally. You feel sadness take you over when watching someone experiencing deep grief and loss. You wince in reaction to seeing someone else being kicked in the head. When you see someone grasp a glass…

Last night, my Beach Buddy and I played one of our tried and true Favorite Games.
It's called: Who's With Us?
Sometimes, we play it in the living room, or, other times we play it on the terrace.
The scene goes something like this:
We're hanging around, talking or not talking, there's a certain quality in the air.
My Beach Buddy will get this pensive look to his face, especially his profile, as he blows Black Cherry or Vanilla scented cigarillo smoke, suggestively…
