Wonderful Life -- New Song

Wonderful Life

I live a wonderful life
Because that’s what I decide it is.
My life is the perfect life for me;
That’s what I choose it to be.
Out of infinite possibility
I choose to be me.
I can choose again in each holy instant
If I don’t like what I see.
My main responsibility
Is to be true to me.

Allow Your Being -- New Song

Allow Your Being

When did you last allow your being

To swim around

In the infinite sea

Of possibility?

How often are you free to play,

And allow yourself to feel the joy?

It’s very important

For you to take the time

To experience your deepest part.

So you can allow the love you feel

To flow right through your heart.

Blessing you as it blesses the world,

As it flows out from your heart.

Falling Rain -- New Song

Falling Rain

The sound of falling rain as it hits the racing water
Is music to my ears.
I feel so blest to have the time
To just be still and sit here.
Along the bank of the Licking River
After a heavy rain upstream,
The water’s the color of extra light coffee,
The kind with lots of cream.
And I am encouraged to listen to the birdies,
And create a happy dream.

So Rich -- New Song

So Rich

How many people are so rich
They can sit and listen to the rain.
And go where nature’s beauty abounds,
And birds are the only other sounds.
While I am here absorbing this bliss,
I feel like the universe is giving me a kiss.
How else can I express my thanks
Except by a song like this.

Receive A Blessing - New Song

Receive a Blessing

I can receive a blessing
From anywhere I choose.
I decide what everything means to me
So this is what I choose to see.
And I know the universe
Rearranges itself
To accommodate
My picture of reality.
I choose to see everything as a blessing,
So that is what I see.

Bird Raptures
by: Christina Georgina Rossetti (1830 - 1894)

The sunrise wakes the lark to sing,
The moonrise wakes the nightingale.
Come darkness, moonrise, everything
That is so silent, sweet, and pale,
Come, so ye wake the nightingale.

Make haste to mount, thou wistful moon,
Make haste to wake the nightingale:
Let silence set the world in tune
To hearken to that wordless tale
Which warbles from the nightingale.

O herald skylark, stay thy flight
One moment, for a nightingale
Floods us with sorrow and delight.
To-morrow thou shalt hoist the sail;
Leave us to-night the nightingale.

Good morning Joy!
Response to your response on my blog post:
I began realizing, or re-realizing, the importance of forgiveness, about 6 or 8 months before ACIM landed, literally, at my feet. I guess there's a blog-story in that experience somewhere down the road. I was looking for one book and that blue book, no joke, fell off the book shelf at Borders. I had NO idea what it was about, but once I picked it up, it stayed in the pile of books I was purchasing that day.
I started to read it, from the beginning---when my eyes would glaze over, I would put it down for a few moments and then pick it up. After about several weeks, I felt I needed help and began to look for groups. I found one, which ended after about 2 weeks---no interest to keep it going.

Weeks went by and I finally connected with someone who began to lead a group where I was working at the time. I plugged away and continued to read and digest. It contributed to saving my life as well.
Blessings and Peace to you Joy!
