Grace

Would you ask for Grace,

To see the gift of spirit’s face.

Would you pray to understand

 how we live here in the depths of form

and still believe we can make demands.

 

 we still reach for the mysteries of the universe

while here on earth we just survive

for spirit’s face is faceless

and the gift of Grace you cannot buy.

 

Pure being of the universe

Pure light that is from the Source

How can you merge this finite matter

With the soul of God’s infinite resource

 

And at some time we all look for  answers

though we are so limited in our ways to know

And the gift of Grace comes to us

And we fall down on our knees and give up our control

 

There is a power at work on this planet

That is greater far than we may know,

There are those who think they have the way To use it

But there is a limit that blocks the ego

 

And then the Gift is offered

By the redeeming Grace from above

To see the bigger picture

Of why we are here and how great is this Love

 

Pure Being of the Universe

Pure Light that holds the way to see

Give us the grace you offer

The amazing Grace that sets us free
